Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I had problems with the battery having no charge at first, thought I got DoA'ed, just had to let it charge. Im really happy with mine from woot so far.
Edit: I love battery advice wars. Noone really knows the best care for the things. Everyone I worked with at radioshack, besides learning about memory on certain batteries, didnt know shit about them. listening to my managers basicly tell people to stand on one leg and hop around and their batteries will last longer is a great pastime. I really think there should be a law that if you state something about battery recharge wivestale, you should post supporting links so we can all laugh at those people too.....
Guess I'm emailing my American relatives tonight...
Thanks for all the info!

According to Wiki (and every other source anywhere on the internet I could find through Google), storing at 40% charge at 0 degrees Celsius is best for batteries you don't use often, but repeated partial discharges and recharges is the best way to go for batteries in constant use (like in an mp3 player or cell phone), and that you should never go below 40% if you can avoid it.
The guys in this forum that want to go 12 or 14 hours without stopping ... which is a sure way to kill an LI battery.
I have so many friends who killed their phone batteries by treating them like NiMH because they simply don't know any better.
Well, this isn't an official price drop, it's package stores etc selling the stock of Zunes for a cheap price in anticipation of a sharp drop in demand.
Right, but who has been giving Woot factory refurbished Zunes?
Anyway, it is a great device, and I don't get why people seem iffy on it.
Sure, the software sucks noodles, but the device itself is a godsend.
I can't STAND the iPod click wheel, I think the d-pad like interface is much more natural (Probably from years of video games).
Also, the Zune Pass is the best thing ever (Especially when you go to as many concerts as I do where they hand out 14 day trials like candy).
Well sure, but at any point in time, even 6 months ago, I'm sure they'd love to unload their entire stock. It's Woot that's seizing the opportunity to sell them for cheap.
The main disadvantage being, if you drop your zune in the toilet, you might have trouble distinguishing it from other floaties.
I mean, I read that it'd be pretty difficult, but I haven't found anything that says it's completely impossible. Is there some homebrew firmware or something for that?
If so, I'll probably grab this brown one.
Drag and drop is so much more convenient than having to resort my mp3s.... AGAIN.
Borderlands 2 PA Xbox Metatag - Bazillion Guns
Yeah .... you drag your mp3s onto the program and create a library. Drag from files, drop onto Zune program, hit sync button.
I went looking for the Urge music service, so I could do the Zune subscription music thing, and found that Urge had grown into Rhapsody. So, I started up a Rhapsody trial, then realized that Rhapsody wasn't compatible with Zune. I had to call India and hassle someone a couple of times in order to cancel my subscription.
Then I looked in my Zune software and saw that the Zune Pass is now available through the Microsoft Marketplace, and am now enjoying that. Fucking "Urge", or whatever that shit was, doesn't even work on Zunes anymore.
