Something called Metal Gear Solid Legacy just popped up on the SteamDB.

Though it appears, at least for now, to be some sort of video. Using that name and if it just ends up being a video would be kind of a dick move on their part given it's also what the MGS collection was called on console.

Also Mad Max and Metal Gear are out globally now.

Edit: Just a video is all it seems. They really need to work on their naming schemes.

My brother is moving back to college and taking his Xbox and Destiny with him, so I may actually play Steam.

I'm somewhat embroiled in a job search, had an interview on Tuesday, so I still won't be around quite as much as I was before.

Yeah it's a video and the store page is up even if the Watch button doesn't seem to work yet, maybe I just need to restart Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/393360/
Exclusive footage detailing the cultural legacy of the Metal Gear franchise as seen through the eyes of MGSV's main cast, game critics, journalists, and top-tier creators from both the game and film industries.

edit: nevermind, seems to be exclusive to owners of MGSV, that's why it didn't work.

Reposting from SteamGifts comment section for the giveaway:
Reading the comments, I had no idea something had happened. I just happened to enter via the wishlist tab on SteamGifts, I don't always keep up on the white river fast flow of posts in the Steam thread. But suffice to say you have my condolences for having lost family. In the last year I have lost 2 family members and have been unable to so much as visit their graves due to financial issues. I understand and sympathize with how awful it can be.

Still don't know exactly what the details are, but I guess I don't need to tell you that you have the care and support of everyone here.

    PM sent @Maguano
    Class you very much.

I guess I better get out the gift gun too.

Also thank you to @vegeta_666 for Stacking. I won by virtue of being the only person to enter the giveway. Woohoo!

Yeah, rather digging Mad Max. I'm a couple of missions in so far, and the world hasn't opened up yet. But it did let me check out the map on my way to a location, and it looks pretty big. Vehicle controls are rather wonky, I'd hope they get smoothed out a bit in a patch - as usual I'm using my 360 controller so YMMV. Combat is meaty and satisfying; probably Arkham-ish but I haven't played those yet. Max's voice actor leaves a little to be desired. Vehicles are right-hand-drive, as befits the traditional Aussie setting (something Fury Road oddly didn't do). Good fun so far, especially at these ridiculous knock-down prices it's been. It continues to run well although I might tweak a few things, as I suspect a teeny bit of input lag was present.

It has a cool capture mode too for screenshots and (apparently) user-made movies too, so I bet we'll see some good creative stuff come out of it. Here's a couple of indoor screenies in the meantime, spoiled for big:
    roo69xyqlbwk.jpg
    wi1cgih34ldo.jpg

The second shot is using the Frame function, and overlaying the logo cutout is one of the frames.

for some reason I woke up at 6 this morning so I had chance to play Mad Max for an hour before work. So far I'm loving it but I agree the vehicle controls aren't too good. I did manage to set my car on fire by getting too close to a fire pipe while I was pulling a sniper off his tower with the harpoon :) the fire in this game looks amazing!

I wasn't expecting the game to be a Metroidvania, especially since the first game wasn't one.

Also there seems to be a story, but I didn't play the first one so I have no idea what's going on.

Just got mine just over ten minutes ago. Downloading now. They were an hour and a half late compared to what they'd said, though, so I wag my finger at them slightly disapprovingly.

The download is a little smaller than expected, though. Just over twenty gigs. So that helps get us in a little more quickly.

Unless you're @Jragghen , in which case you could apparently download it in about three seconds. That's awesome, chap!

It's very, very rare that I'll pre-order a game I'm not 100% on or already hyped for, but Mad Max looked promising in previews, @Big Classy's evangelising of the studio plus of course the knowledge of how well Just Cause 2 is regarded, and the pre-release discounts were utterly absurd, plus I'm a huge Mad Max nut anyway and have been since I first saw the old movies literally decades ago, so I took an uncharacteristic gamble on it. Glad I did, it's probably the most pleasant surprise of the year in gaming for me.

Guys, I've really been enjoying Shadow of Mordor. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted from an open world game. After Karoz gifted it to me a few days ago, I figured I'd run it and play for a few minutes just to see how well it ran, then go back to concentrating on Okami HD on my PS3 (which I've neglected since the passing of my cat a few weeks ago). Turns out it really hooked me, and I've now put over 13 hours into it and show no sign of stopping.

Hopefully I won't feel too lost when I come back to Okami.

Meanwhile, I went ahead and splurged on that Build a Devolver Bundle. I ended up getting Ronin and the special editions of Titan Souls, Not A Hero, and Gods Will Be Watching. Then I saw that if I added LUFTRAUSERS, it would actually make the total price go down. I already own LUFTRAUSERS, and it's awesome, so I figured someone else here should have LUFTRAUSERS.

Jazz - Thanks, I actually got mine while I was asleep and started the download when my dog insisted on going out at 4AM. It was hard not to wait on it then fire it up.
It was ALSO hard not to sit down and play more Mad Max. Like you all, I'm pleased with my gamble on it. Man those sand effects sure are sexy. I think it will set the bar for deserts in games (which was previously held by Uncharted 3 in my book).

Meanwhile, in the world of people who are distinctly not playing Mad Max, FF XIV has gotten quite good. I wasn't having a ton of fun as a lancer so I started a new character as an arcanist the weekend before last (thanks to @destroyah87 for the suggestion) and have been enjoying the hell out of that. I rarely have much luck with casters in fantasy games, but this one seems to suit me. Also, it has an adorable summons. +1 for that. :D

Oddly, Arcanist is the class that drove me away from playing the game the first time I tried it. Adorable summons but the gameplay felt soooooooooooooooooooo boring. I felt like I was hitting the same combination of buttons no matter what situation I was in.
