i just downloaded niggy tardust, saul williams new album

http://niggytardust.com/saulwilliams/download

it's produced by trent reznor and it's incredible

it's basically "nine inch nails if trent reznor were black"

following radioheads example, they released it for free, except you can donate 5 bucks if you want to to get the lossless FLAC files and stuff
A word on the way we've chosen to release this. There are obvious similarities in how Radiohead just released their new record and the way we've chosen to. After thinking about this way too much, I feel we've improved upon their idea in a few profound ways that benefit you, the consumer. You obviously will be the judge of this in the end. One thing that IS very different in our situation is that Saul's not the household name (yet!) that Radiohead is, and that means we need your support on this more than ever. If you like what you hear, spread the word.

it's awesome you should all download it (and donate if you can)

I already said it in another thread but I saw the Evens last night and got to meet Ian MacKaye afterwards and play his guitar. He was a really awesome dude and I'll definitely see them again if I get the chance.

I saw Gogol Bordello recently, and it was an awesome show.

Their opener, Dub Trio, sort of sucked though.

i love gogol bordello, but after a while their songs just kind of run together

i haven't checked out their new cd though, so they might have fixed that

start wearing purple is excellent though

Their new CD is really good.

My main problem with their show was though they didn't play any slower songs until the last one of the night Alcohol.

I was fucking tired by the end of it.

    fallout boy is utter shit

    but like

when Panic came out, i ignored them because they kept playing that one song and it sounded derivative and annoying

but then i went through A Fever You Can't Sweat Out in one sitting and dang it's a pretty good album

Like The Herbaliser and The Propellerheads and shit like that.

any other suggestions for good 60-esque spy styled music?

i pretty much only like fall out boy because of The Take Over, The Break's Over

it's one of their only songs that doesn't sound exactly like every other one of their songs
