Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer shooter with objective based modes which pits two teams of 6 players against each other. The game is designed around several classes where each character has unique abilities, with a cartoon art style similar to that found in Team Fortress 2 or in Pixar Animation movies.

Backstory -

Welcome to Overwatch™ Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities. In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world: OVERWATCH.

It ended the crisis and helped to maintain peace in the decades that followed, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. But after many years, Overwatch's influence waned, and it was eventually disbanded. Overwatch is gone… but the world still needs heroes.

Abilities:
Machine Pistol - Sombra’s fully-automatic machine pistol fires in a short-range spread.

Thermoptic Camo - Sombra becomes invisible for a short period of time, during which her speed is boosted considerably. Attacking, using offensive abilities, or taking damage disables her camouflage.
Translocator - Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight).
ULTIMATE ABILITY: EMP - Sombra discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius, destroying enemy barriers and shields and hacking all opponents caught in the blast.

Swift Strike - Genji darts forward, slashing with his katana and passing through foes in his path. If Genji eliminates a target, he can instantly use this ability again.
ULTIMATE ABILITY: DRAGONBLADE - Genji brandishes his katana for a brief period of time. Until he sheathes his sword, Genji can deliver killing strikes to any targets within his reach.

Biotic Field - Soldier: 76 plants a biotic emitter on the ground. Its energy projection restores health to 76 and any of his squadmates within the field.
ULTIMATE ABILITY: TACTICAL VISOR - Soldier: 76’s pinpoint targeting visor “locks” his aim on the threat closest to his crosshairs. If an enemy leaves his line of sight, Soldier: 76 can quickly switch to another target.

Flashbang - McCree heaves a blinding grenade that explodes shortly after it leaves his hand. The blast staggers enemies in a small radius.
ULTIMATE ABILITY: DEADEYE - Focus. Mark. Draw. McCree takes a few precious moments to aim; when he’s ready to fire, he shoots every enemy in his line of sight. The weaker his targets are, the faster he’ll line up a killshot.

ULTIMATE ABILITY: PULSE BOMB - Tracer lobs a large bomb that adheres to any surface or unfortunate opponent it lands on. After a brief delay, the bomb explodes, dealing high damage to all enemies within its blast radius.

ULTIMATE ABILITY: RIP-TIRE - Junkrat revs up a motorized tire bomb and sends it rolling across the battlefield, climbing over walls and obstacles. He can remotely detonate the RIP-Tire to deal serious damage to enemies caught in the blast, or just wait for it to explode on its own.

If they are trying to hit hello over and over that's fine, but it just annoys me that lately EVERY single one has been that. I will still shoot them, but I just don't like that it became some kind of subculture.

    I have determined that my 31st Clip Show is actually worth posting to the forum. It's better, I think, than the Widow Duel and the Tracer-Dominating-Roadhog match I threw up in the last thread, 'cause those just had the best parts (and a lot of not-so-best parts) of single matches, (and were pretty funny, to me), while this is a bunch of decent stuff from a bunch of matches - and if you were a teenager in the nineties, you may love the song choice. So it's not my best, but it's better than the last two, I think...

    Of note...
    • 0:00 - I did the single-rez just as a middle finger to the other Mercy. Match was almost over anyway.
    • 0:45 - It took that long to land the killing blow on Pharah (on Lijiang) because that's as high as I can aim on consoles (PS4).
    • 1:40 - I think this is a half-decent - though tiny - example of how a Tracer can solo-dive an enemy team and pull some Mini-Winston work, getting them to turn around while my team wrecks them from behind. I love that the Junkrat just wasted his tire to try to get revenge.
    • 2:28 - this is the first time, I think, I ever solo'd a Roadhog without the benefit of my Pulse Bomb. He was terrified of me for the rest of the match and made a ton of mistakes that were super-easy to capitalize on. It was awesome.
    • 3:33 - It's ridiculously hard, as Tracer, to get team-wiping PotGs like this. Reaper or Soldier or Genji or Pharah can just wreck entire teams with their ults, and when you're Tracer you'll be lucky to get three picks in a PotG's span of time, unless we're talking about a Gravitron/Pulse Bomb combo. Ain't gonna' happen on Tracer. Getting PotGs like this on heroes I never play briefly tempts me to switch DPS mains. Then I remember how fun Tracer is and it's like "nah."
    • 4:06 - First of all, this was funny. Second, this Reinhardt had the complete opposite reaction of the Roadhog at 2:28. Instead of freaking out and making mistakes when he saw me, he would prioritize me as a target - making it very hard for me to do my work, and probably taking me down literally as often as I did him. It was awesome, and he really made me work for it - a ton of fun - so I sent him a PSN message:

    Man, it's really weird and disorienting that Junkrat's respawn timer starts from when he dies and yet you can still spend most of it controlling his tire. Just had a Mystery Heroes thing where I drove the tire around for basically the entire duration before killing three people, whereupon I immediately became Hanzo back in spawn because apparently someone killed me the moment my tire got three feet away. No clue who or how because I wasn't looking at the kill feed.

    Usually I am playing Tracer because its the only place I can really learn her in a live environment without completely screwing over my team. So this would be pretty easy to do if I could actually hit them.

    Blizzard always does stuff for Chinese New Year, which they call Lunar Festival or something like that.

    I assume it probably won't be too much more than those couple costumes and maybe a marginally 'special' brawl though.

    And yes, that's exactly how they get more money. Heroes of the Storm has you just straight up buy the skins though.

    I think they've always maintained that silhouettes may change but hitboxes stay the same.

    It's why Zenyatta can have a massive Arabian hat and still be fine.

    Pretty sure Christmas and Valentine's Day are public domain. I always thought they renamed those things to make it non-denominational and limit localisation problems.

    Like, it's an OBVIOUS nod to Christmas and Valentine's Day, but fictitious references like Winter Veil make them more culturally neutral, at least in name, probably just to make it easier to promote.

    Though I just checked on Weibo (China's twitter), and Blizzard straight-up calls it the Spring Festival (春节) in Chinese, which is what CNY is more commonly known as locally.
