So should I feel bad at all for having a casual appreciation for Korn?

I mean I would never pay for one of their cd's, but they're basically the 90's/00's equivalent of shit like Boston, where you know it's cheesy as hell but it's also catchy as hell.
Yes you should. They are the shittiest band that was ever shitted

Guided by Voices - Dragons Awake

There used to be a fan-made video for it on YouTube, but it looks like it got removed. So no link, sorry

River rat jimmy is going on there.

Couldn't find dragons awake on itunes, though I'm sure it's probably a good song.

    Thanks guys.

EDIT: Dragons Awake! apparently was and I can't read, so that too is going on the list.

Double EDIT: Wanna know how sad my music collection is? My 16gig iPod touch has 3 gigs left, and only 3 of the useable 14 gigs is music. 8 gigs of video. I almost deleted the videos to make room, I'm in no rush.

Burma Shave (find the studio version for optimal effect)

the origin of love, from Hedwig & the Angry Inch (again, album version is way better)

i don't really care about year-end best of lists, but i really love 'most overlooked' type lists. the 1900s are but one of many bands i have found over the past week or so through those.

Alright, I think I'm done, do any of these sound like they might stand out too much?

    Not Nice - Chris Garneau
    Hurt - Johnny Cash
Alright for Now - Tom Petty
    American Pie - Don Mclean
End of the Movie - Cake
    Lua - Bright Eyes
Friend of a Friend - Foo Fighters
    Inmates - The Good Life
Mix Tapes / Cell Mates - Rocky Votolato
Guess I'm Doing Fine - Beck
Song for Dennis Brown - The Mountain Goats
    Christmas Card - Tom Waits
I Will Follow You Into the Dark - Death Cab for Cutie
Make You Cry - Jonathan Coultron
Cross Road Blues - Robert Johnson
    Overkill - Colin Hay
    Winter - Joshua Radin
    Honestly - Carly Brothers
    Good Life - Francis Dunnery
    Hallelujah - John Cale
Baby Love Child - Pizzicato Five
Don't Think Twice, It's All Right - Bob Dylan
Hey There Delilah - Plain White Tee's *I might just get rid of this song, it's pretty shitty.
We're Going to Be Friends - The White Stripes
    Black Bird - Paul McCartney
As My Guitar Gently Weeps - George Harrison

I'm thinkin I may want to find a song from lennon to add another beatle to it.

Also, this isn't the final order.

May I suggest Condor Ave or the acoustic version of Son of Sam by Elliott Smith? Also The Naming of Things by Andrew Bird could do well on that list.

easy to do, and I wouldn't blame you

I grew up with Jimmy BUffett, and for all his cheezy "island" songs about drinking and being a parrothead, the guy can write some surprisingly good songs once in a while when he has something to say

that particular one is, in my opinion, one of his best.

Yeah, my dad loved him, made me listen to him which pushed me away from him.

I think of that stupid pina coloda song whenever I hear is name which is how I envisioned all his songs sounding.

Yeah my mates called me this morning. Said it was un-fucking-believable. They did their Human After All/Together/One More Time/Music Sounds Better With You encore, hey?

Did you go to any of the after parties afterwards? The official ones have Bang Gang, Sebastian and Kavinsky playing, so it would probably be worth the $30.

Laibach too. They're like a much harder version of Rammstein that covers Beatles and Rolling stones songs sometimes.

    High five.

So I just got home from a Dethklok show. I wouldn't have gone if it weren't free. Some pretty capable musicians, but too many douchebags on the floor that have never been to a metal show before. They put together some animated material and plot for the show, but there was no way to hear it over people screaming.

Has any one ever heard of balance problems?

He used to be the vocalist for the band Sky Eats Airplane but left to do softer stuff. It's better than his old band.
