After 700 years alone... (Wall-E, new Pixar movie)

I still haven't seen Cars or Ratatouille but I just watched The Incredibles again the other day and I just found out about Disney and Pixar's new CG animated film Wall-E.

Site and Trailer here

The NEW Trailer(MySpaceTV)

The trailer looks very cute and I love the main character's animation. I've always had a soft spot for robots, including Wall-E's predecessor Johnny 5 (I mean, look at the eyes and treads, this guy is clearly a baby Short Circut robot).

Here are a couple of still shots:
WALLE1.jpg

WALLE2.jpg

Awww! Look how kewt he iz!

I'm excited for this movie, it looks really cool and I dig the sci-fi premise. There is a lot of opportunity for expressiveness in our mechanical friend as well and this movie will probably be several times better than Robots was, even though I liked that movie's character designs for the most part.

    Lucy Liu-bot doesn't love you. She's just a machine. A simulation.
Look at her dead eyes and corpse-like complexion.

Now look at WallE. He wants to hug you just because he's so lonely.

vvv I will watch it one day. ONE DAY!

I just didn't go see it in theaters because, c'mon, it was a CG movie about talking animals. Wow, never seen that before. I didn't hear that it was actually good until much later.

    You're an idiot.

This movie looks like it will be fantastic. I have a weakness for robots who wish they were people. Even moreso than dogs. Dogs, swimming towards their master, who is yelling NO BOY GO BACK, with tears pouring down their face, etc.

Seriously, other than Cars, which was mediocre at the worse, everything they've done has been concentrated awesome. I mean, for those with a soul and heart.

I still say Disney should put on an Incredibles monthly comic book.

I bet it would sell up there with the big titles from Marvel and DC, if it were well done.

I will stand behind Finding Nemo for Pixar films. This would be the movie I would put in before I went to bed almost every night during college, like a baby with his nightlight.

    Finding Nemo was...the wonderfullest.

    : D

But Ratatouille was the best. It got everything right.

Third on the list is Incredibles, and then the first Toy Story.

Well Cars was different from the rest, I guess you could say it was a weaker movie however if you're a gear head the incredible attention to detail and cool touches everywhere is just so awesome.

I already did this with my little sister three years ago. She basically is Boo.

Also Pixar manages to start the most heated arguments.
