The Incredibles is my favorite. I am having a hard time imagining how Ratatouille could be better but I'm willing to give it a chance.

I am biased against talking animals. They've been done to death.

    Loved loved Monsters Inc. though.

I also can't get the song Brazil out of my head after watching the Wall-E trailer. Think it's a nod to Terry Gilliam's movie?

    BRAND NEW TRAILER

That's the one I saw and didn't check the official site's trailer. I apologize. I put up the link to the new trailer in the OP.

Wow. I had my hopes up to start with, but it's looking like this movie is going to be 100% adorable from beginning to end.

I also love how they included Wall-E in the Pixar Opener. <3

I saw it twice. Once with the then-girlfriend and then again with my female friend. This meant I couldn't talk about seeing it twice because the ex was a super-jealous bitch about said friend.

Both times I actually sat through the credit sequence because of how cool it was.

Wall-E looks amazing in all possible ways.

They're getting too good with this CG thing; and the best part is, I reckon video games will look like that in about 40 years.

They'll have the POSSIBILITY of looking that good but who wants to spend a decade getting a game to look that good when it's only about 2 hours long?

Toy Story worked because at the time all CG looked like plastic (it was a lighting/texture issue). Instead of trying to make photo-realistic imagery they went with plastic toys and stylized characters. Very few cg movies or games look great and when they do they are a big risk (see Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within).

Pixar, while detailed and amazing animation, never goes for the photo-realism. They go with goofy, fun, stylized characters in elaborate settings.

You can't tell me Team Fortress 2 didn't take a page from Pixar's book. The characters in that look like they could have been lifted right out of The Incredibles.

Haha-- that's so true. Video games have so surpassed Pixar's former bar of graphical appearance, with the exception of many anti-aliasing issues that we see so often on Console games.

I wasn't a big fan of A Bugs Life. It was ok, better than Cars, but not great.

I think Nemo is my favorite. It edges out Incredibles with Thomas Newman's original score.

FF: Spirits Within didn't fail because of the way it looked from a design/art perspective. It suffered from crappy voice acting and even worse animation, which I guess compared to the awesomeness (at the time) of their graphics made for even more of a stark contrast.

Pixar does fantastic work and it's been nice to see how much better their movies look when you go back and compare Wall-E to Toy Story.

Outside of them, I would have to say some of the best CG work comes from Blizzard. Too bad they only do stuff thats like 3 minutes long.

There is not a bad Pixar movie.

A Bug's Life is like the 3rd best adaptation of The Seven Samurai.
Cars is excellent in a lot of ways, even if it is the least excellent Pixar movie.
Monsters Inc still makes me cry.

I have a confession to make.

I'm not a big fan of Finding Nemo.

I don't see the attraction past Willem DaFoe's character and Ellen Degeneres.
    And that Australian shark.
And the lobsters with the Boston accents.
    And the surfer dude turtle.

But overall I don't think it stands out among other Pixar movies as 'best'. I liked Monsters Inc. a lot more.

    I agree with Kantankeris.

Ellen Degeneres annoyed the fuck out of me, and I liked the premise much better when it was used in An American Tail.

Absolutely love Pixar in general, though.

Toy Story, and Ratatouille are my favorites.
    Followed by TS2 and Incredibles.
The rest were merely "good" IMO.
I will say that Cars is better with the John Lasseter commentary track. Wow he's really into that stuff..
