I bought it a few months ago after having not heard it for something like 9 years.
Oh god, such a good CD.
I was just talking about how Jewel's Pieces of You was the 2nd album I ever bought.
Tragic Kingdom was the first album I ever bought. We only had a CD player in the living room, I sat in the living room forever listening to that.
My first too.
I bought it for a trip My dad, sister and I took to the grand canyon. I listened to that thing 1 to last song at least 50 times by the time the trip was over.
Everytime I hear Pardon me I think of camping Emperor Crush for his enchanted ringmail.
Incubus' SCIENCE album reminds me of waiting for the bus to come in the morning in 10th grade. Me and my friends took our CD players and CDs EVERYWHERE.
I remember listening to SCIENCE a lot before school and then in some classes I'd turn on the CD player real low, leave it in my backpack and then lay my head down on the backpack to listen to it.
Hell fucking yes.
N'SYNC were a cheap knockoff of BSB who came about only because BSB were starting to think for themselves instead of putting out every single sugar coated ballade written for them.
S'why they're still around today.
B.C. on

I really like Queen. I had the classic hits part 1, and I finally just got the part 2 CD the other day.
Its not really as good as the first CD, though. "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Break Free" take the cake. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is good and all, but it can't compensate for the lack of good songs.
heretoinform on
Socialism is the concrete foundation of America. Capitalism is the flimsy tin shack that sits upon it.
I only have Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys CDs.
When I really got into music we had already gotten things like Napster.
When my friend told me about Napster, the first thing we thought was, "Awesome we can download the Bum Bum Song!" Since you obviously couldn't find it in stores at the time.
My first CD was something like Chipmunks Sing Country Classics. I was about 8 or so, must've liked the CD cover or something. I think I listened to it once.
I didn't really listen to much music until high school, where I mostly listened to the Clash, Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, Ramones and Shonen Knife.
I remember my first middle school dance, and Bush's Comedown came on, and everyone started moshing and jumping up and down like idiots, and it was a great time to be alive.
Also, I remember skanking in a few dances. Damn you Mighty mighty Bosstones!

I'm young enough to remember the Bosstones but old enough that I realized they weren't really that good.

Then it was a four disk techno set my brother thought I would like. I didn't.

This is funnier than it should be
We were going to name ourselves 4LIFE.
Haha, are you Asian?
I hear this Marc Anthony song and I think of Guardians sweeping over a terran base
No, I'm black.
Understandable.
I didn't really listen to much music until high school, where I mostly listened to the Clash, Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, Ramones and Shonen Knife.
No, I'm not really black.
no.
Don't take his lies.
How did you peg him like that?
that's amazing that he pegged you as asian just because you were going to start a band called 4LIFE
So you're white, then.
Fans of the Office are white.
"4LIFE"?
Also, I remember skanking in a few dances. Damn you Mighty mighty Bosstones!
Born and bred? Pasture was a street?
Just because Stanley disapproves doesn't mean I'm not right.
I've seen 'em a million times since then, including shows at the now-very-recently-defunct Crocodile Cafe
Fuck, thinking of nostalgia bands makes me think of how awesome this city used to be
