they are still tough to find in my area
I bet a lot of them right now are not hitting shelves and instead going into the hands of people with those holiday season rain checks
also I think the good game/shovelware ratio is a really poor way to determine the worth of a system. There will always be crap, and tons of it
I mean, have you people seen some of the shit on PS1?
For every amazing groundbreaking game there was 30 pieces of garbage that still cost $50 when they were new. That doesn't make it any less of a great system in its day.
To me Nintendo is like In-N-Out
In-N-Out has the best burgers I have or will ever eat
No one will ever convince me otherwise
But occasionally I have to eat something else
I dunno. I thought Mario Galaxy was pretty cool. Raving Rabids, too. I have a friend who was in to the Metroid Prime games but I've recieved knees to my groin that were more pleasant. Nothing else on the Wii is worth mentioning, either way.
Metroid Prime: Corruption was amazing, hands-down the best game I've played on the wii or any of the next-gen systems. Mario Galaxy was good, but nothing new.

I saw a little girl playing a Mario Galaxy demo in GameStop today. I really wanted to play the game and she wasn't even doing it right (she had the wiimote and nunchuck up in their little holders while she looked up at the screen arcade-cabinet style). For a second I considered telling her to point the wiimote at the screen but decided better of it. Her parents were around and I didn't want to look like a child-molester.
Still though, I haven't gotten to play Galaxy yet and she was hogging the thing the entire time I was in there while her parents were God-knows-where. I'm sure some of you know what kind of torment that is.
I hope she was having fun.
I do get bitched at by fifty people at a time when I say "I dunno, might just be a gimmicky fad," though. How many times have I been accused of "hating fun" in the name of the Wii specifically?
dude stop hating on fun

I'm waiting for No More Heroes.
That looks good.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I haven't really played my Wii in a while, but I'm hoping Smash Bros. will provide some incentive to keep it because even though I've got games like Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess and I've played awesome stuff like Mario Galaxy I can't seem to bring myself to finish them.

It really depends on the area you are living in.
central oregon doesn't really have an abundance of stores that sell them in the first place
there are two Wal-Marts, one Fred Meyer, one GameStop, one Best Buy, and a Costco within driving distance
none of them ever have Wiis when I check
I think this is a pretty good analogy

found the problem
posted this in the contest thread, might as well post it here too
you did it wrong, moron.
but your yells are like kisses so all is well
I appreciate this for the Watership Down reference, but I think the joke fell flat at the end. The first Skull Man comic I am not 100% pleased with.
yes, that is the problem
this is something I am aware of
I love central oregon otherwise though
Can you not access eBay from Oregon? Is it censored by your totalitarian regime?
Wii lots go for sub retail not too unrarely now.
I had to use dumb words, one of which was Cardboard Tube
so
blame him
because when I have checked it before, it is all stuff sold for more than retail
I'll have to check it again now for these "lots" going for "sub retail"
the babies haven't done anything

how far away is wilsonville from you
So sayeth MapQuest
like no one thinks to check there and they usually have one or two locked away in a glass case or under a counter
Frys is a pretty awesome place
If my car wasn't all broked I might even drive there just to snag a Wii
Every comic needs this.
