Really? I haven't seen the episode in a while, so forgive me if I'm a bit shaky, but how can you explain:
1) That nobody ever noticed the age difference that would have been blatantly obvious or the fact that they suddenly got another kid, which she somehow considers less noticeable than her not getting pregnant again.
2) That Lucille actually thought she could get away with it, she's not stupid and everything else points to her being even more cleverly calculating than we originally thought
3) Adopting someone to spite a rival company is an extremely unsatisfactory motive
4) That she's willing to accept the "shame" to spite Buster with Annyong, but not the Sitwells
Not really a logical reason, but it makes her character entirely too evil for me.
Sorry to get all nerdy list on you, but it bothers me so much because I'm easily annoyed by these things and because everything else fits so well (a few things do stretch it), so this sticks out a lot. Unless you're saying that that *is* how everyone else sees it and I should have realized that. I can only say to that that I haven't met many other AD fans.
I like some of the jokes that came out of it (porkchop), but I can only see it as an impulsive last minute jab at Fox/Showtime that they didn't fully consider. If I'm wrong, please, enlighten me, I would love to be able to remove a stain from one of my favorite shows.
