    Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic are though, along with Finnish but only by proximity is it a nordic language. It isn't even Indo-European.

    Ok, so Norwegian is a language

    I feel like I'll have an easier time with a language if it's in my blood. French is too subtle for me.

    I feel bad that you might have had to be the one who wrote it.

    To many people living there, Nordic IS a language of sorts because the languages are so similar. But as a non native speaker I can assure you they are separate languages

    I have been taking Japanese for 6 years (still know hardly any), took a year of German, a semester of Korean, and I am in my second semester of Mandarin.

    This summer I am going to be doing an intensive language program for Russian.
