In threads like these I always post a request list in the hope that some find gent/lady will be able to score a spare copy of some of the games I would like, and I offer to pay cost + postage. Here's the games in particular that would interest me.
    Alien Shooter Vengeance - $2.19
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - $5.48
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Collectors Edition - $4.12
    Darwinia - $1.29 or $1.40
    Gothic 3 - $3.00 Confirmed at $3.00
Left Behind: Eternal Forces - $3-4
    Shadowgrounds - $3.58
    The Ship - $2.35

I kind of get the feeling that there isn't going to be a huge amount of stock available though, but thank you in advance for anyone who had a look for me.

Alien Shooter Vengeance? I dunno, I thought Alien Shooter (1) was kind of mediocre to be honest.

Shadowgrounds was OK. I actually really enjoyed Shadowgrounds: Survivor a lot more though, and you can pick both of them up on steam for about £10-£15.

    /unwanted advice.

Yet you let my request for "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" go unquestioned?
I want that mostly out of curiosity.

Can't say I've played it. Heck, can't say I've seen it either.

It's an RTS with a 'modern day' setting isn't it? Something about the US being invaded be ze badguys? I've pretty much had my fill of RTS's for this past year from Supreme Commander, Company of Heroes and Sins of a Solar Empire, but let me know if it's any fun. *shrugs*

10 bucks for Opposing Fronts? I can't argue with that. If only there were a Circuit City that wasn't extremely inconvenient for me.

And there's no excuse for not getting GalCiv2 at that price.

It's an RTS about some fundie's view of how he thinks the Book of Revelations would play out. No joke.

It's right now absolutely free*, where * means "actually costs five dollars". Personally, I've heard that it isn't worth that.

I heard it was worth it because it gets so outrageous and over the top it becomes a self parody, for instance one of the enemys is a punk
    rocker...yeah.

Edit:If you are actually looking to PLAY the game, i heard it was highly underwhelming.

Yeah the punk rocker plays music which damages your faith or some shit.

Of course the 'good guys' have a guy that sings gospel and raises it back up.

And female characters can't be soldiers or priests or anything but nurses and prayer warriors.

It's just so horribly cliche, and the shitty between mission 'factoids' about how the human eye proves God's existence is just icing on the cake.

Seriously, there are people who haven't heard of the Left Behind books? They were massive, meteoric best-sellers a few years ago, a series of 7 or so novels about the Rapture and the rise of Antichrist in the modern day. There was also a related series for young adults and (I think) a few for kids also. This was right around the time that the Bible Code hit also.

I was working at a Waldenbooks at the time and I actually had to sell these pieces of literary refuse.

I ordered NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer online for in store pickup. Grabbed it on my home from work yesterday. Pretty sure it is in store and online. The employee you talked to probably just didn't know what was up. If you have them scan the game it should come up for the cheap.

Yeah you pay when you order it. So it was like $11 with tax. I showed them my printed receipt when I got there and walked out the door with my game.

As someone who worked at CC for awhile I can give you some advice:

    1. You need to go out immediately and take advantage of this now if you are thinking about it. Without fail everytime CC ran these the minute the list came out there would be a few guys who came in and bought everything they could on it. Different guys each time. Probably resellers. So you need to act fast if you want in. I think there is supposed to be a limit on the number you buy, but if so, it's rarely enforced.

    2. Don't pay attention to the actual price tags or what the associates say. Get them to scan the box for the real price. Sometimes nobody gets the memo and the prices are never changed on the box, but are correct in the computer (which was updated).

    Good luck. :)

It's an RTS about some fundie's view of how he thinks the Book of Revelations would play out. No joke.

It's right now absolutely free*, where * means "actually costs five dollars". Personally, I've heard that it isn't worth that.

Actually, I think there was a dozen or so. In the 11th (I think), Jesus comes back and literally melts the faces off hundreds of thousands of people. Kinda contradicts the "love one another" Jesus of the New Testament just a wee bit.

Anyway, obligatory link to the fascinating blog of a liberal evangelical Christian (yes, they exist) who is going through Left Behind page by page and exploring how it sucks scripturally (also how it just plain sucks as literature): slacktivist.typepad.com/slacktivist/left_behind/

Fun fact: the idea of the rapture is nowhere in the Bible, but was invented by some 19th century guy who cobbled together all the vague and unrelated prophesies in the Bible and vastly embellished on them.

To get back to video games, the Left Behind game is horrible. You have to either convert the heathens, or kill them. But beware, the heathens will try to convert you too with (gasp) rock and roll! Also, any women in your army can only be nurses or something else ludicrously stereotypical.

Deus Ex: Invisible War - $0.25

I'm still not sure if that's a good deal or not. I mean, it's only 25 cents. But it's like paying 25 cents for someone to tell you santa isn't real and then kick you in the balls.
