Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
So earlier today some random phone number from a Florida area code called me. Hung up when I answered. Happened about half a dozen more times. I call back, some guy answers that can hardly speak english, I don't get anywhere, and shrug it off. I have continued to get these calls, all day. I called again and he answered, from what I understood he was basically telling me that my number has somehow appeared somewhere in his phone and he isn't aware when he is calling it.
So these are the circumstances...
-Called my phone company. They can't do it for an individual phone number. (I have Nextel/Sprint.)
-I'm not going to change my phone number.
-My phone (a Nextel i850) has no feature that filter specific calls out.
I was told to call the police if it continues, and while I do not think this guy has any sort of malicious intent I am more than willing to resort to that because it has become incredibly annoying. How would I go about reporting this to the police? What would they do? Would it be too much of a hassle to go that route?
Summary - Getting repeat phone calls from some stranger that hangs up immediately. Phone company can't block it, and I can't change my number or block via my phone. Help!
