Yes and yes.
But most of my stories involve people not knowing that I am deaf. My friends tell me I give a fairly cold impression to guys who try to hit on me at bars. If I do not see them then they just assume I am ignoring them. They think it is amusing to see a guy walk up and sit down beside me at the bar, say hi, and then awkwardly sit there for a minute waiting for me to respond.

While we are bearing our seouls I am wondering, It is my understanding that you were born a gentleman, but wish to be a lady?
How far along are you in reaching this goal? I have always held an interest in the way people perceive their own gender, and how this affects them in life when they decide to switch.

i have completely transitioned socially (read: when i am not at home, and my parents aren't looking i'm a lady) and that has been really really hard

I do not mean to pry, I am just genuinely curious. It is my understanding that male-female gender reassignment is prohibitively expensive for the majority of people who wish to utilize it.
the bottom surgery will probably run me something like 7500 canadibux
the top surgeries (read: facial feminisation surgery, implants) will cost me something like 10000 if i decide to do them
hormones are relatively cheap, and i think they're roughly 45~50bux a month, which honestly is not that bad
