What I want to know is; when did Damnit start being spelled with two "m"s instead of "mn"?
This has to be a recent thing, because I know through the 80's and 90's Damnit was spelled as such. Because Damn isn't spelled Damm, so why would you remove the N and replace it with an M when you say Damnit?
You don't say Dammed, it's Damned. You're not Damming someone, you're Damning someone.
I declare Dammit to be wrong and stupid. And I don't care if the interweb dictionaries don't agree.
