For the moment, I'm talking to my network right now and it might change in an hour.
However, the defense that baddies have mostly been using has been to stay silent.

well I can talk a lot, I just am aware I can't prove my innocence in any way. this is me putting up a fight because if I don't change minds now I have no chance.
Ignoring Syl’s silent stare, the remaining Gods gathered around the table. The four spread evenly around the board and leaned over the pieces, watching intently. The coloured stones slid about the board with quick, sharp movements. The game was winding down, and everyone could feel it.
How does it feel, cooed Artol, to have gone to all that trouble for nothing, Monkey? You see as well as I how they scheme today. What folly led you to believe those fools could ever be enough to best my brother and I?
The sudden silence in the room drew everyone’s attention back to the stone table. The pieces, having come to their final positions, sat silent. Syl chuckled from his dark corner, but the rest of the Gods simply stared at one another. Finally, Artol looked at Elsaan. Really, brother? he asked.
Looking to Gunto, Elsaan made eye contact and held it for a moment before he regarded his brother once more and simply shrugged.

Gathering momentum from their vote the night prior, the villagers are all but unanimous in their decision. bwanie does manage to garner one vote, but every other vote cast falls for Variable and he is quickly taken away for execution.
Riding a high from their first night of nearly perfect cohesion, the villagers are shocked to find the body of El Skid draped over one of the benches surrounding the old stone well. Blood and guts stain the wood, spilling from the man’s ruined belly. His eye sockets stare blankly at the cobblestones around the well, seeing nothing since his eyes have been ripped out.
Shortly after the discovery of El Skid, the Shrine Officers are called to the edge of the empty field. When they arrive, the find that Varcayn has been inexplicably both brutally beaten nearly beyond recognition and has had his neck so severely wrung that many of the blood vessels have burst.
The confusing scene prompts the Officers to check with the neighbours to see if they noticed anything that could help them figure out what happened to Varcayn. However, when they get to the home of LewiePs Mummy, they find her front door wide open and her home abandoned. Searching the home and calling out for the woman, the Officers find only a small pile of dust on one of the pillows on the bed. Of LewiePs Mummy, they find no other sign—she has simply vanished, never to be seen again.

Wait, are we missing one of the baddie kills? There's no strangled guy. Woohoo, we must have killed one of the groups, or something.
But I thought we got the necromancer, where are the zombies coming from?
Yeah, it looks like we finished of the Ravens, and there's one Snake outstanding.
As to the zombie-esque kills, I had no idea what to make of them until tonight, but the fact there was only one of them seems to indicate that was a bonus the baddy factions received, either directly or indirectly with Syl's help. Finish one of the factions, finish off their extra kill.
I'm not 100% sure on the mechanics, because I'm tired but I don't think the timing works out quite right, but the end result basically is kill them all and let the narrator sort it all out.

So, my Lunesta is kicking in and my thinky isn't functioning so well but yay i didn't die. Boo no baddies. Sorry Variable, guess i had you pegged wrong.
I need to go work soon, but I'm going to vote !kilroy for now. He was one of the guys (including Gumpy and Malkor) that LPM was suspicious of last night, before she disappeared.
Still open to other choices, though.

Can someone explain the logic behind Items being given out and who receives them for me?
Can someone explain the logic behind Items being given out and who receives them for me?
We won't know for sure until the exact mechanics are revealed, but best guess is that there's a group of villagers that randomly receive items each night (one item for each god, each of which gives some different ability). As they die off, new villagers are added to the group, which is how we've set up the network.
And since no one has gotten this started, I suppose I get to pick from our suspect list, so I'm thinking !Gumpy. Meets all the standard baddy criteria, and I'd deserve to lose if I let a meta post about baddy gloating that also includes gloating slide by.
That and there are only so many suspects left at this point.

I guess we're jumping on Variable today? He seems likely enough. Unless anybody has any other information.
Remember people, speak up if the network hasn't heard from you, either past or present.
There are 9 votes for Variable, 1 for Bwanie, with James, Kilroy and Malkor still to vote.
And me.
I'm off to bed, its 12:10 a.m. here.
Vote Variable.

Looks like I had the snake and raven kills reverse in my mind.
IF YOU HAVE AN ITEM CONTACT ME!
This way we can build our network and flush out the baddies. Were almost there, but we need everyone to come forward.

I like the cut of your jib.
And on that note, I'll check back in the morning.
Also, was El Skid's death not a raven kill? You guys are getting sloppy ;-)
There's something strange going on, me, dust?

Also, !Gumpy sounds as good as anyone else at this point, unless Thetheroo has a better suggestion.
