Based on the IP? 40k.
Based on the probable merits and enjoyability of each game? Starcraft.
Because unless Blizzard, trapped within an ancient pocket-draining ritual opens a portal to hell, becomes Blizzarod and makes the 40k game themselves, I'm gonna go ahead and bet that that whatever they do for Starcraft is going to be better than whatever B-list company is responsible for the 40k game.

and i know a fuckton more about starcraft's mythos
warhammer 40k's backstory just seems intriguing as hell, as it goes sci-fi and fantasy in some sort of nihilistic future of doom

I played the Fire Warrior FPS, and it freaked me right the hell out sometimes. If they'd make more FPS's, i'd buy them all.

unlikely, i doubt Wrath of the Lich King is the last WoW expansion we're going to get and i don't think blizzard would put out another game that would (presumably) continue the universe's story while still adding to it with another
or maybe they would like how EverQuest 2 came out and EQ1 kept on getting expansion packs and such
