Jack the Ripper is neat because he was the first serial killer recognized as such.

    well

Some people have been retroactively considered serial killers

And I don't really know if they called him that at the time anyways

I just find him fascinating because he's a great unsolved mystery

i like jack the ripper so much i made him one of my ongoing characters

(he's not a bad guy really)

I want to be Jack the Ripper for halloween kinda

    Someday

Was it Harlan Ellison who wrote the story about a utopian future society bringing Jack the Ripper into the future and allowing him to murder random citizens because life had grown too boring and safe?

I read these books a loooong time ago before I moved to America. They were written in my language, but I am sure they were originally published in the U.S. I will try to find out, though!

I've seen only three X-Files episodes, one of which was laughably terrible (Hollywood A.D.), one of which had a legless indian midget murdering people by crawling inside which was kind of entertaining, and a Rashomon-esque Vampire Town with Luke Wilson that was totally kickass.

    Is it actually consistently good?
