she sent me an email earlier saying she needed to use the car
I was a little tired when I read it so I assumed she meant she was going to come by and take the car, which I have no problem with since I hardly ever go out on days off
so she called me earlier sounding annoyed that I didn't call her
what she meant was that she wanted to use the car, and wanted me to call her
now, that's my fault for not reading the email more carefully
but
I made the mistake of asking "Why didn't you just come get the car?"
and she hangs up
calls me back twenty minutes later telling me that I shouldn't disrespect her and she doesn't like it when I talk rudely to her
I'm like dammit mom I was not talking rudely next time just call me
"oh but I don't want to call you because I'll wake you up and you need your sleep"
jesus christ I can answer the phone, talk for five minutes and just fall right back asleep, come on
same way here. my mom and i used to argue a bunch, but after high school, when i wasn't home, it started being a lot nicer to chat with her and junk. plus, her homecooked meals are a godsend some weekends when i'm feeling lazy. the only thing she does that kinda bothers me still is hassling me about quitting smoking, which she does at least three itmes whenever i see her.
i have quite a while to go before lung cancer and emphazema. i figure i got at least another decade of hard living and smoking and boozing and bad eating before i quit all the fun stuff.
