PAX should go back to what it was originally about, hookers and blow.

You should bring some from aussie town next year!

Yeah, that'll be fun smuggling through customs.

I'm already freaking out enough about bringing a bag of white powder (chalk dust) into china.

there have to be climbing shops somewhere, right? seems like too much of a potential pain in the ass to bring with you

man, the people in the PAX forum never cease to amaze me

some of the PAX thread locals want to plan hangouts and they're talking about where and when, and some of them get it
just straight up, "I'm gonna eat here at this time, join me if you want"

but some of them are talking about having responsibility for planning this stuff rotate through different people
and I'm all, really? just say what you want to do when you want to do it and see if people bite
no leaders or organizers need to be appointed, just step up

They're all so serious about PAX too. I'm arguing with one that's all "If you think PAX sucks that's because you suck at it." Christ, maybe they took a look at the sea of neckbeards and folks who get winded from standing and said "Fuuuuuuck this, Fallout 3 comes out in October anyways."

I figure the PAX forum is just a vocal minority of obsessive nerds that have this shining vision of what PAX should be and anyone who doesn't agree or takes away their free Bawls is to be treated like a dog

I believe most of the attendees are probably quite reasonable and cool. Not as cool as me of course, but still.

I tried a Bawls last year and it was okay, but for the life of me I will never understand the obsession with it.

Do they view it as some tradition from the early years of PAX or something?

It is a drink that phonetically shares a name with part of a sexual reproductive organ. A joke about genitalia, ladies and gentleman.

    Oh man how risqué.

What the hell was that energy drink that they handed out that had Taurine listed twice? Goodness that was awful.

It's a rotating image of Lyttle Lytton quotes: http://adamcadre.ac/lyttle.html

You may or may not find it funny.

As for the LP links, I really need to take those out. (Like 95% of people who've ever attempted them, I suck at it.)

Well yeah, but the thing is is that chalk is an inert substance so it shouldn't in theory be picked up by any detectors because it doesn't react.

That and I was too lazy to empty my chalk bag as I'd have to clean it out properly as well which is a bitch of thing to do. I've talked to other climbers and they say they've brought it to places to problem before.

    Here's hoping no anal probes!

I really think it's as simple as Bawls being marketed to and perceived as a part of gamer "culture" so plenty of sheep jump on board and feel the need to consume it at any lan party because, hey they're REAL gamers

that's just my take on it
because it tastes good, but it's just a fucking drink

    Two flights!

Perth to Singapore then Singapore to ghuanzhou

1AM to 630AM fir the first.

Then 815AM to 1220PM for the second.

Then I have an overnight train ride at like 5PM which takes me to Guilin then a bus ride to Yangshou for my climbing trip.

And why am I surprised a bunch of nerds didn't do anything about somebody hitting them in the back when authority figures were right there? It must have felt like home to them.

    No no no no.

See if your partner does drinking they can drive you around everywhere while you are roaring drunk.

I remember one of my friends telling me it's awesome to get a woman pregnant because they turn into a taxi for 9 months.
