i played brujah because it meant i showed up to games in a nice suit
instead of some faggy goth wear and black nailpolish i just dressed like an italian mobster
I think you have Brujah mixed up with Giovanni.
And my favorite character ever was my Malkavian with the sanguinary animism derangement and the haunted flaw.
Rest assured, that's a deadly combination.
there was never any giovanni back when i played v:tm

BRUUUUJAAAAAHHHHHH.
My Gangrel Brujah in Vampire: The Requiem was brutal. Big Hank! A hell's angel embraced by 17th century swashbuckling pirate type dude named Jean Pierre Montrachet, Hank's haven was a bar called The Golden Spittoon.
I killed a man by kicking him in the balls.

i've only ever played requiem. other than the bloodlines game for the pc... ;>.>
the key to playing a good brujah, in my limited experience, is just to be a brutal motherfucker. my brujah's melee weapons were a two foot length of motorcycle chain and a hatchet.
Dear punk rock internet radio station thing
Stop playing this Paramore song that sounds like it was recorded that time I saw them with Jimmy Eat World and play some real music
Or skip to Ska Time
Whichever

Brujahs don't have to be brutal, but they should at least be able to hold their own in a fight. The clan's foundation is based in social activism, after all(at least in V:TM, I know squat about Requiem).
Vigil looks interesting, but the Hunters seem to have it much worse than they did in Reckoning.

it's actually not even a clan in Requiem, it's a Gangrel Bloodline. Makes for some... interesting situations. but i was my group's only real melee combat character until our friend john started playing a malkavian who used a straight razor and one of those small souvenir baseball bats as weapons.

he was delightful.
My Malk was a school teacher who was stalked by the wraith of someone he accidentally killed, and on top of that, he was haunted by the voices of whoever he fed from.

Hunters get extra stuff to account for the fact that they don't have magic powers and shit
for starters, there's Endowments, which are special merits bestowed by some of the more powerful factions in the game. Some of the endowments are like, mystical artifacts and magic weapons, others are hi-tech monster hunting weapons, others are actual magical spells and stuff, and there's even weirder shit like thaumatechnology (surgically implanting monster parts into you)
they also get Tactics, which are special merits that let them do special maneuvers and skills by working together as a group. shit like hold that vampire down and stake him, etc.
finally they get Practical Experience, which is extra XP they get on top of regular XP other WoD characters get. Hunters go up in skills, merits, etc. really quickly, which accounts for both the fact that they are humans and they adapt fast or die, and also that characters can have a high turnover rate
Look it's late I'm tired and boredom has made my remaining brain cells shut down
i was pointing out how you just seem to automatically narrate your current actions without any quality control whatsoever, which is a large contribution to how much you get shit on
hence, posting without conscious thought
it was a burn in honour of Fringe, the new hit thriller from FOX and the writers and creator of LOST
I have never dabbled in Requiem, and I am just starting with V:TM.
Got to do me some readin's.
it's probably one of my favorite tabletop games. D&D holds a special place in my heart, but the setting and lore of vampire... i dunno, something about it just hits a chord with me.

He also brought a cat to every Elysium.

it just is
some people might argue about which of the settings are better but seriously
From what I hear, Requiem is lite on backstory, but the gameplay is far better than V:TM's.
Masquerade's backstory is almost infinite, part of the reason they decided to ditch it all and move on, I think.
Yeah I've played both with my older brother.

See but I have never really gotten into any of it much at all.
So I gotta eh-joo-kate myself.
