is that from a thread, cel?
    No, just general angst.

There was a TV ad on for some DVD series about the war. It annoyed me.

Barista is useful in the medium term as well. Once you have some experience at a low-tier coffee place like inside a safeway it's easy to get a higher paying barista job at a local or a starbucks (a stand alone, not one inside another store).

Good way to get settled and build up some income. Get used to the new town and such.

Yeah, people are overly afraid of honesty. Some things, keep to yourself, but other things are powerful in their universality, yet everyone has this feeling like they should be ashamed to talk about it.

there is some guy who i am facebook friends with cuz he worked at the camp i used to work at and he always has these ridiculous conservative status messages like: "Greg Collins can't wait to see Sarah Palin show Katie Couric, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Fareed Zakaria, and Kathleen Parker that she is a better debater than they will ever be."

    srsly?

MY DND BOOKS ARE IN YAY!

I finally have a physical copy of the Adventurers vault and my only copy of the Forgotten Realms players guide.

I can't wait to pick them up, I needs to make me a Sea Elf swordmage NPC for my players to harass with ridiculous questions.
and then brutally kill off as I kill all my NPCs eventually. I am a cruel and harsh DM

Funny things happen when your campaign starts off with saving whales from reaper squids and living tides, holy lighthouses, Melora, goddess of the sea, and The House of the Distant Shore, of the Floating Empire.

    Funny things.

    make more water-centric sequences!!

besides, Elisaan's "I jump on, off, and between things" gig will get old if we don't mix it up

let's make some epic swim checks

Yeah, my current IRL campaign is water/naval based. They had a Sea Elven swordmage, but without the book it turned into a giant clusterfuck. So I had her wander off and modified the final encounter appropriately (which she will be there for).

In reality, she will probably die horribly to a maw of the abyss or tentacle, but I want to play around with a Swordmage and my players are happy with the current classes. Such is the life of NPCs in my campaigns, cut down in their prime by horrible monsters and because I never like them overshadowing the players. Why I persist in this is the curious part.

Edit: They nearly all died horribly in the bottom of an undersea temple to Dagon. Fuck the Azure jelly is ridiculous.

The nice thing about the Adventurer's Vault is that it includes new boats and lots of water-oriented equipment.

There is even as shield which is basically water wings. :P

The AV is a great supplement. Going to look through and improve magic item "drops" quickly. I've been handing out the same shit repeatedly for numerous games. My players are thinking I'm a one trick DM and I can't have that!
