Does Rob Liefield have a bizarre mental disorder that makes him think he's drawing a different face every time?

And that's not even a bad Rob Liefeld drawing. Admittedly Thor looks like an angry 12 year old girl and I'm pretty sure what he's doing with his leg isn't physically possible but still. It's some of his best work.

look at how tiny Mr. Fantastic's head is

now compare the Hulk's two arms to each other

also Thor's right arm is much more massive than his left

There is definitely a synergetic effect there.

Speaking of which, is Cap. White any good so far?

EDIT: Personally I would prefer if the handle was longer so Thor could get a decent 2 handed grip on that bad boy. I love the long handled 2 handed hammer look. It's just more badass.
Yeah, uh, there is a reason why his hammer has a short handle.

It's still not bad. Pretty much the comic version of a big budget popcorn flick. It's all style and no substance.

Honestly, Loeb only started getting bad when he went back to Marvel.

I attribute it to him being trapped in the 90s or something. I mean, dumb Green Hulk, thee and thouing Thor.

Actually the whole point of this event is to clean house.

Even if Ultimatum ends up sucking (fingers crossed that it dosen't), UXM is ending (sorely overdue) and Millar is coming back to do 24 issues of Ultimates Avengers which should be awesome.

Plus we'll always have Bendis on USM.

Ult Avengers might be decent, name dropping aside Ultimates was generally awesome if you switch your brain off.

But Ultimatum looks to be Ultimates 3.5: The Continued Loebening

I'm a bit sad about Ult X ending because pre-Kirkman it was generally decent.

That's because if Loeb ever tries to fuck up Ultimate Spider-man, the newspaper will read "COMIC BOOK WRITER ARRESTED FOR MURDER" the next day.

Well, that's because Bendis admitted you'd need to kill him to ever get at it.

So given that the cover for this event has Magneto with Thors hammer and since we know that Loeb hates Thor, is it safe to assume that Thor will die in this?

I used to be really excited by what they had done with ultimate Thor and I loved what they did with Loki but Loeb has mangled the character beyond all recognition.

Maybe he needs to be let go.

I really dug Ult. X-men when it began. I especialy got into Beast's character. I think they moved him along too swiftly, though.

I read up until the shit with xavier's kid and the shitty psylocke story. and was all "this is bullshit. i stop here"

Out of all the Ultimate books, UXM seems to have become the biggest race to introduce Ultimate versions of every 616 character. Instead of focusing on the core team, every new writer seems to want to crowd the roster with Ultimate versions of their own favorites.

Bendis is nice enough to make his references in the background
Well not really in the background but it's not like LOOK BEN REILLY LOOK HUGE FUCKING PLAYER RIGHT HERE
Now the fact that that character later plays a role in the Ultimate Clone Saga is fucking hysterical
But they didn't really make any mention of what he did in 616 until then
He was just a dude named Ben Reilly

Urgh, don't. I think I stopped when they shoehorned Ultimate Cable in as being Wolverine from the Future.

Ultimate Cable being Wolverine wasnt that bad I thought, it was an interesting twist on expectactions from the 616 version of the character.

The book went really downhill from there though I agree

I stopped buying it after that. I have no idea what happened next. If it's available on Marvel Digital one day I'll take a look.

Ultimate Proteus was bad enough (the whole World Tour arc really)

No it really gets so much worse. I didnt mind the Proteus arc that much, although it was the worst bit of Millar's run. Then I enjoyed both Bendis and BKV's runs on the book, Kirkman was the one who did the Cable arc and then really turned the book into a shithole.
