Lyme disease is no laughing matter, I believe it is fatal and kills a lot of people because they don't seek treatment.

No this is a physical illness.
Mostly. It's possible I had it for a long-ass time. Same with mother. So a lot of the damage is likely permanent.
Fun it was not. The "second round" of antibiotic treatments my mother had to go through was likened to a mild form of chemotherapy, except she had to do it every day for nearly a year. The only thing neither of us ever did was intravenous, 'cuz that shit is brutal.
