Whoops, I missed your post, Dave.

This is still going ahead, everyone. My friend and I will book a hotel next week; who needs a place to stay?

I've confirmed that at least three of my friends are coming, so that's all good!

I'll be coming, won't need a place to stay because I live within a fairly short commute from London.

Well my friend and I can stay with my brother, although depending on what's happening I'm not ruling out just staying for the Saturday.

We should fix a time! I can be up there fairly early but I have no idea how far others have to travel; do we want to meet up midday or is that too late?

Since there is a little gathering of UKers going on in here I was wondering if any of you are from the Oxford area.

In case I missed it, where exactly are we all meeting up for this fun filled frolic into the fetid slums of London?

If I wasn't so busy I would go to this. Train ride is only 200 euros. :(

Somebody buy me the British Harry Potter book set while you're out.

Preferably hard cover, but I can live with soft cover, I guess.

Sadly it turns out I can't make this. It's my Gran's 75th so I have to be back in the frigid wasteland of the north.

It's £185 for the hardcover boxed set.

Not decided yet! Trafalgar Square has worked for us in the past as a pretty good meeting place.

I'll start PMing everyone who expressed an interest. Sorry to hear you can't make it, Mojo. :( Oh well, for every one of you that has expressed regrets I seem to have found another friend who can attend, so our numbers should still be healthy!

Make sure there are photos and if possible that somebody has a handpuppet to fill in for me.

We had to replace the 30 year old boiler that came with the house with one of those ones that "works." It's a strange and alien concept to have hot water by turning on taps, and having radiators that do more than take up wall space but I'm coping with the change.

I'm also £1,000 down and have no disposable income for the rest of the year so I guess I'm out, sorry!

Um, FUCK! I can't go to the meet-up because of school and cost. But if these prices go into effect before, than I may have to skip a class or two...

I still might be able to make it Saturday but I can make Sunday.
