This movie will end just how Cloverfield and quarantine did.
No goddamn explanations!
man, Cloverfield was awesome
I liked it, but wanted some kinda explanation about everything which we didn't get right? Except all the stupid internet talks about it.
The whole point of the film was that there was no explanation!
Which is dumb for a movie about some kinda virus killing people and the government having to cut them off from the world. I liked the movie, but the ending was dumb. dumb. dumb.

And really, the key to a good horror movie is simply to spend time creating characters that the viewer cares about. They understood this in movies like The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby - when bad things happen to characters that you care about, it's scary. It doesn't really matter what those things are exactly.
When horrible things happen to expendable characters that the viewer cares about, there's really no impact besides "eeww, gross" or "OH GOD I'M SO STARTLED!".

What Fandy is trying to say is the age-old principle,
WHITE MAKES RIGHT.
Take up the White Man's burden--
Send forth the best ye breed--
Go bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need;
To wait in heavy harness,
On fluttered folk and wild--
Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
Half-devil and half-child.
Take up the White Man's burden--
In patience to abide,
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By open speech and simple,
An hundred times made plain
To seek another's profit,
And work another's gain.
Take up the White Man's burden--
The savage wars of peace--
Fill full the mouth of Famine
And bid the sickness cease;
And when your goal is nearest
The end for others sought,
Watch sloth and heathen Folly
Bring all your hopes to nought.
Take up the White Man's burden--
No tawdry rule of kings,
But toil of serf and sweeper--
The tale of common things.
The ports ye shall not enter,
The roads ye shall not tread,
Go mark them with your living,
And mark them with your dead.
Take up the White Man's burden--
And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better,
The hate of those ye guard--
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah, slowly!) toward the light:--
"Why brought he us from bondage,
Our loved Egyptian night?"
Take up the White Man's burden--
Ye dare not stoop to less--
Nor call too loud on Freedom
To cloke your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper,
By all ye leave or do,
The silent, sullen peoples
Shall weigh your gods and you.
Take up the White Man's burden--
Have done with childish days--
The lightly proferred laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years
Cold, edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgment of your peers!

Checking the Wiki for this tells me that Doug Jones plays an "emaciated woman"
knowing Doug Jones, I can only imagine this is unsettling as fuck
Because you can totally read them all with the camera shaking and night vision on.
No but you don't really need to read all of it you just needed to read "cult" and "accident" and realize that this shit was made by some crazy cult.
Then that is dumb. I'd rather pretend there is no ending.
At this point, I really can't imagine what a truly original and creative horror plot would consist of
something that doesn't follow the
1. tits, innocence
2. scarey, shakeycam
3. gorey, shakeycam
4. stupid ending
anything but that
The whole point of the film was that there was no explanation!
I think you can have a good and creative horror movie that still includes tits.
good call
but i think we can trim all the other shit
i'm thinking nosferatu with a naked jenniffer connelly
It's like the Blair Witch Project...but with a GIANT MONSTER!
Call Hollywood right now.
No.
Man, Cloverfield was cool. It was a fairly standard monster movie, but it had a fun gimmick, and it was really well done.
wait this movie isn't scary at all
it is if they're lamprey tits
Which is dumb for a movie about some kinda virus killing people and the government having to cut them off from the world. I liked the movie, but the ending was dumb. dumb. dumb.
