So let's talk about opera.

    Did you know that there has never been a viking helmet found that featured horns on either side? The look was popularized in opera as a way to differentiate between villains.

    My uncle used to try to sing along with opera in his car, and the music was always turned up louder than anyone could ever stand. Of couse, he's also paranoid as hell and is impossible to follow anywhere because he has no regard for traffic laws.

    I saw an english production of Die Fledermaus once. That was pretty awesome. Can't say I've seen all that many though, the only others that come to mind are The Gondoliers and The Mikado.

    I saw a semi-opera like two years ago. There were mini stories and they just sang, no acting. Most of them were really depressing, there was one that actually made me cry it was so depressing and the music matched it perfectly.
