While this thread is on a tangent - that Glacier Hiking duo I pimped during a couple music threads released an EP finally, with a free download at their site.

PotU there are only a very limited number of ways you can exercise your freedom of expression and if you step outside of them you will socially ostracised and punished to the full extent of the law.

Fruity loops?
fruity loops is like for crappy electronic music though. i guess i could see what i could do with it
Fruity Loops is hugely versatile. Electronic music seems to be what it caters to mostly, but I use it for rock backing tracks, and Soulja Boy seemed to make a cool chunk of change with the program.
West classified 808s & Heartbreak as pop music and expressed that, "People think pop is bad, but Michael Jackson was pop and who can compare to him?"[6] He later stated that he wishes to present the music as a new genre called "pop art", not to be confused with the visual art movement of the same name.[7]
I agree with him that pop is too lumped together but that's because there is so much shitty cash-in crap. I applaud his attempt to use a term to separate himself, but i doubt it'll catch on.
Mike Dean noted that during the Hawaii sessions for the album, West insisted that each track had to feature TR-808-generated drumming. "[N]o typical hip-hop beats. They've gotta be tribal drums."[8] West felt that the 808 is an important instrument that can be used to evoke emotion; the concept was introduced to him by Jon Brion. It was revealed that the occasional exaggerated effects produced by Auto-Tune are meant to represent the effect of being heartbroken.[9]

Ok so I'm a little bit past the half-way point and I gotta I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would. When I first heard that Kanye was going to use autotune I pretty much hated him for it. Now that I can actually listen to it, I like him a bit more. A lot of the songs are really and is almost beautiful instrumentally. I still hate autotune but I wouldn't mind it if he continued doing this
BUT
He would still have to put out more albums like his previous ones. I honestly can't see him doing this all the time. As more of a side job though, I think it's pretty great
it's from a live singapore performance, maybe not.
i'm curious about the cover for the singles:
as far as I can see Pharrell has come nowhere near this album and i think Kanye doesn't really tout any of his clothing so what's with the KAWS gloves?

EDIT: Basic, easy to use tutorial on FL.

It's not really "pop-art" like a lot of his other songs, but I thought it was pretty damn catchy and the closest to it sounding like actual singing.

Question though:Was he even using the autotune in Pinocchio Story?
