OK, you all know I'm a noob, but I can't work out how to save music from my PC (its stored in music cube, if that's any help) onto an external hard drive , unless I want to do it track by track. Can someone please tell me how to do it, simply?
Thank you!

    I've never heard of Music Cube, but if you look in your preferences you will probably find the actual location that all your files are saved in. Then you can navigate to that within Explorer and just copy them all over.

    It is very difficult to help someone with this without knowing the specifics of how their software is set up or their experience level.

    Are these music files MP3s? If you don't know then they probably are.

    What sort of program is Music Cube? Is it like iTunes, does it run in a web browser?

    Is it music you paid for and downloaded into the program from the internet? If so, then that complicates things, and it may even be against the terms of use to try to copy them.

    Do you know how to open up your external drive so you can see everything that's on it?

    What you would generally do is:

    open the external drive folder
    find the place where the music is stored on the computer and open that folder
    select the files you want to move (click and drag over them)
    click edit -> copy
    bring up the external drive folder window
    click edit -> paste

    That is the simple description of what you would do, but you may have trouble with one or more steps.

    I just want to take this moment to say that my own mother is nowhere near cool as LewieP's.
