There is an acoustic wave generated by the strings but it doesn't produce anything like the same sound, and it never enters the guitar. A functionally identical waveform is generated by the metal in the string moving, inducing, above the pickup which the pickup turns into an electrical signal that the amp then turns into sound. How are you a DJ?

Making up a new word to pretend it was the word you were using all along doesn't make you right, ace. It also doesn't make me a troll. Your claim is that all guitars, including electric guitars, are acoustic. They are not by either definition or mechanism. And then you're trying to tell me that I must think the cord is magic if I don't think the sound comes from the sound of the strings moving, as if there were no such thing as an amp. And then the difference between the sound the same guitar makes on different amps. The machine cannot receive sound-input in any way, it is not an acoustic instrument. And distortion still doesn't necessitate loss. Just changes, it's one of those things people use math to make and if you pay them more some of them will use better math.
