If there's anything more obscure than the second comic, I can't think of it.

Man, you beat me to it. The newest one, I have to say, is pretty brutal. I think it may get the award for "most violent PA strip," which is saying something. I guess it's not as funny if each one doesn't get more violent. So far the progression has been fists (offpanel) -> falling rock (only aftermath shown) -> can opener (somewhat provoked) -> shovel (totally unprovoked). What next? A Reservoir Dogs style torture scene?

i think the next one should be a woodchipper ala fargo with the hand at the top... and then gabe goes oh shit and stops it and takes the watch off
tychos wrist and turns it back on....

It'd be nice just to have a random watch saga addition say, once every six months or something. So it doesn't get old, and we can laugh at anyone new who can't understand why a watch is funny.

Hmm, I just stumbled over this case of "watch taunting", would that be considered part of the saga ?

I think the second comic in the saga had something to do with an earthquake that happened in real life.

Try putting your donger in a dishwasher and see how that comes out.

Nah, that's not taunting... That's Tycho actually checking the watch because he's bored of standing there waiting for Gabe to think of something else to say...

    ...Maybe

But the mere presence of the precious must drive Gabe up the walls, and indeed the next owner change happens in the kitchen.

But then there's no violence in that strip, so it kinda breaks the flow. :)

Could be. There was a wicked earthquake in Olympia a couple years ago, which hit Seattle area pretty hard.

I'm glad larlar did this and not The Geek. If it were The Geek, I would really start to worry about his archive fetish. Well done larlar!! I knew they were there but never thought about putting them together :)

I don't really think it's a fuck-up. In all the other strips of the saga, we see The Watch changing owners. If we don't see it, it doesn't happen, like people dying in bad horror movies. Hence, after the dog episode, Gabe still has The Watch, as evidenced by the latest Watch-strip.

Let me just redirect this to a more friendly and well-balanced group of people.
