Yeah, it really fails as an advergame. If it had online play or harder achievements people might want to go back to it.

OTOH, a lot of people are DL'ing it because of the easy achievements, and the game boasts of its easy gamerscore right in the mission load screens.

And replay value? Seriously? How many times do you need people to view an advertisement? It's not like some gaming stoner is going to get to the store and say, "oh, what was the name of that corn chip brand?"

I thought it was alright enough. I didn't do the multiplayer yet but the singleplayer was mindless fun for about 15 minutes.

I actually liked the idea of controlling the car with the left stick and your weapon reticule with the right stick.

That's about the nicest thing I can say for the Yaris game.

Transfer cables are dirt cheap on eBay, and you can recoup the cost by re-eBaying when you're done.

Also since this is minor enough to go in here..

They updated Uno again. The most obvious addition is a new 'Friends & Community' option when setting up for multiplayer. When you select it, it pops up a guide menu that shows you everyone on your friends list/party playing Uno. Which is what I though the "Friends & Party playing __GAME__" popup should have been doing, instead of just showing your friends list. The interesting thing is anyone in your party at that point can move the selector, therefore taking the entire party into the game.

Also, when you start the game up while in a party, it asks if you want to press A to automatically set up a new room, set aside private slots and invite everyone to the game.

I really hope games update to take advantage of this stuff.

I just finished playing the Doritos game, it was pretty fun. The wife is currently playing it, and shouting at the screen. Every time she yells something like "BITCHES! GET OFF MY SHIT!" it makes me smile a little bit. It's definitely worth the nothing that I paid for it.

So this is as good a place to ask this as any : are you guys experiencing really slow download speeds on marketplace content? I have Comcast, and the 360 is on a wired connection to a router. Other things seem to work fine : no lag in games especially if I host, my Netflix starts pretty fast and usually has 4 green bars. But most downloads start so slow (i.e. still 1% after several minutes) that I just quit them. I let the GTAIV DLC trailer completely download and it took over 30 minutes (for 50 MB).

My 20 GB hard drive is near empty, I've tried at several different days/times and I did try connecting the 360 directly to the modem to rule out router/networking issues (same result). Is this something that I simply can't fix? I remember a while back with this same set up I could get a 1 GB demo in less than 10 minutes which made me a lot more apt to try them out.

Edit - also worth mentioning - I don't get any warning of moderate or strict NAT.

If you're having shitty download speeds on marketplace via a Comcast connection, check your DNS settings. If they're manually set according to portforward.com or something similar, then you may not be using the best servers. Seems odd that it would have such a drastic effect on downloads, but for me it was huge. Once I corrected it, my Live connection was back to normal.

I had pretty much same symptoms, too. Online games were no problem, just the marketplace.

THANK YOU SIR. I just manually switched to those servers and tried downloading a few trailers and they're coming in about 20+ times faster. I'll have to see if this affects gameplay/netflix at all but appears to be a fantastic solution to the slow marketplace content.

Just curious, but did this update add something that prevents people from using their HDDs on another Xbox? Twice in the time NXE dropped I tried hooking up my HDD to someone else's Xbox so I could bring my Rock Band DLC to play at their place. This was with two different friends and two different 360s. When I plugged in the HDD, all of my profiles came up except for my main XBL account. The non-Live enabled accounts worked fine. I tried to recover my gamertag to see if that would help, but it wouldn't let me recover. After I brought the HDD back home and hooked it up to my 360, I could recover the tag and everything worked fine.

The only other change besides NXE from when I was last able to use my HDD on another Xbox was I got the 120GB upgrade, but I don't think that would be the cause of my problem.

Basically I'm just wondering if the NXE update somehow links your profile to your specific Xbox and somehow prevents you from hooking the HDD up to a different Xbox. Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, I take my drive over to a friend's house pretty much every weekend, we both have NXE on our boxes, both are online, and it still continues to work on both, with all profiles active.

Last night, I tried to add some MS points, but thanks to the new Dashboard, it proved impossible to find the interface to use my credit card. Is there some treasure map, or magic trick, or Konami Code I need to input to give them my damn money? Or is it in plain sight and I missed it?

I added points a minute ago when I wanted to buy the Legendary maps for Halo. I just went to the download page and tried to download it with 0 points. It took me to a page where I confirmed what card I wanted to use, and that was it.
