Rock music help

Recently, two of my favorite bands have been Lynyrd Skynyrd and Guns and Roses. I was wondering if any of the PA readers had some recommendations for some other artists with that Southern Rock feel. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to music, so your advice is appreciated.

    Molly Hatchet
    Ted Nugent
Sugar Bear (only pressed 500 albums back in 1970something)
    Allman Brothers
    Mountain
    Charlie Daniels Band

Sugar Bear is my favourite Southern Rock group. Originally from Florida. Those bands are more like Skynyrd.

You might also like Motley Crue.

I definitely second (third?) Allman Brothers Band - great stuff, and very similar in feel to a lot of Skynyrd.

The Black Crowes have a lot going for them in that vein too.

If you like Southern Rock, you might like branching out into some rock-geared blues too. Check out some Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, or Gary Moore.

    Kings of Leon?

Only the early albums though, they have started to go a bit 'weird'

I can't believe I didn't think of The Crowes, CCR, or Ram Jam.

You also gotta to try some Stevie Ray Vaughan (SRV).

    Second'd.

Their new album (Brighter Than Creation's Dark) isn't as hard as their older stuff, though; so be sure to go back a few albums. Everyone says Southern Rock Opera is pretty bad-ass.
