on the plus side, I did watch a fuck-ton of movies this year. I have grown to like movies a lot

I also kind of developed a style of my own style in my drawings, so that's cool! now if I would draw something other than cartoon doodles, I'd be set

Rachel will likely get a job, so cost of living will be a bit easier (we'll still save as much as possible, though)

    hopefully going to PAX

spending Valentine's with Rachel and her birthday and my birthday and holidays in general and such

I'm going to watch as much of the Twilight Zone marathon that I can, and I'm going to have some special grape juice from the local winery.

2008 was a mix of really good things, and a mix of really bad things, as WaM put it, extreme. Certainly a better year than 2007 (the only highlight being getting the hell out of high school finally, ok having a first band that sorta went somewhere and seeing a few cool shows count too).

As of right now i have no idea what im doing for new years, so I could be sitting around home (which usually happens) or I may end up going to a party.

New Years resolutions are almost entirely stupid, however 2009 marks my tranfering to a new school (finally going out of state!), and hey obama's going to be in office so to invoke the overused rhetoric it will be a time of change.

I realise I have no plans for new years. What am I going to do guys?!

Also 2008 was pretty uneventful and probably the quickest year that I have ever experienced which is bloody scary. If I'm smart and I try hard enough I might be able to make something of 2009 and it'll be my most eventful and exciting year of my life. If I fail then I am boned.

I have no plans for New Year's either. If any of you are in Texas, preferably in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, or somewhere near those three cities, I might be open to some New Year's Eve shenanigans.

some shitty things have happened to me this year. but usually, when shitty things happen to me, they lead to things that are amazing. and that's already started to happen to some extent, so I suppose I don't mind. I think things will be a lot better for me next year!

    1. lots of ups and downs this year, I mean there was seriously some supersuckage and superawesomeness both globally and personally

sichuan earthquake, myanmar, beijing olympics, obama, mumbai attacks, Israel-Palestine ceasefire, Thailand, financial crisis... but the global stuff will happen pretty much anytime any year, this year just seemed to pile it on

personally, well, beyond the passing of three very close people in my life in one year, I would say that thanks to three very awesome personal things in my life, 2008 gets tipped from being sucky to slightly more awesome than sucky, just because none of those people who passed on would want me wallowing and would want me to be happy

    2. I am partying all night at a 5-star hotel with some of my friends who are staying in Shanghai for New Year's, open bar with ice sculptures and hourly global new year's eve celebrations televised from the hotels other locations around the world

    3. I don't really do resolutions, but I guess it would be to keep stepping up the volleyball, learn how to use a straightening iron properly, and of course, move to Perth as efficiently as possible, but I dunno if that's really a resolution

I saw a production of Jesus Christ Superstar once because of a friend

we were in the free seats of the Muny and my sight and hearing are bad so I couldn't really tell what was going on

but King Herod was played by the guy who did the voice of Oogie Boogie!
