Naziism is fighting words. Any kind of institutional racism or other discrimination is fighting words.

You can't silence an idea by making it illegal. Making it illegal just makes matyrs who shout it louder.

You fight bad ideas with education.

I agree with Evander. If you make ideas illegal it implies that people are stupid and are vulnerable to whatever idea comes to the surface. It turns the government into a babysitter of the people instead of a tool of the people. You don't get the trust of the people if you don't trust them to make the right decision.

Right. You save the bullets for the bad people. Hopefully the education portion makes the bullets unnecessary.

    Bullets killing anyone is bad.

Bullets killing wrong people is worse.

Case in point: The Bush Administration.

    I don't understand this logic.

Do you think the JPFO could explain it better?

Anyway, my point is that ANY death is bad, it is just that some time it is a nessecary evil.

There is no real distinction between idea and action in the political world. You're not making martyrs if all you're doing is not allowing them to use those ideas in a political context.

We've had separatists in Canada for years now, and they still hold a large amount of seats. We don't outlaw separatists because as of right now Quebecers are Canadian citizens, and that would mean infringing on their right to dissent. As long as they obey our laws in their dissent there is no problem.

To use your example, Naziism is much more than kill the jews. It's an inherently political idea and you can't cut it apart.

I'm not a fan of politics, in general.

On a pragmatic level, I would ban any party that supports incitement of violence towards the nation's own people. I think we can all agree there, no?
