To jump back to the original topic for a minute...
Am I the only person who finds sorting through somebody's shit (no pun intended) after having already copied it somewhat repulsive?
I mean, I work computer repair and am always very careful to respect peoples' privacy when moving files. Certainly the temptation to look is there but...actually doing it? That seems wrong to me.
I used to work in PC repair as well, one of the guys I worked with nearly got fired because he found a stash of porn on a customers PC and burnt off a coupla dvd copies to share with the rest of the staff - customer found out and lodged a complaint - still dunno how he knew though.
But anyway, this is my brother we're talking about here - I already knew to expect a shitload of porn on it, and he certainly wouldnae think twice about me swiping copies of it.
The scat stuff kinda took me by surprise tho, and while I mighta suspected he had incriminating photos of him and his fiancee on there, I at least thought he'd try to hide em better (at all!) instead of under User\Pictures\Holiday Corfu 08\. I wasnae deliberately rooting around for all his private shit :P
well, I'm old so I guess I'm kind of like your parents only not related
and I'm frustrated because this new headset I got doesn't seem to be working even though it seems to recognize the mic line
but I can only play audio through my speakers and when I go into the control panel, it only shows my speakers through my sound card, or what it labels as speakers/headphones through the integrated sound the system originally came with
and switching it to speakers/headphones as default doesn't actually change where the sound comes from
my speakers through the sound card still show the audio coming through them
tell me with truecrypt how easy is it to look at things youve put in
and what if they are across multiple drives
It's pretty easy. You just create an encrypted container and dump all your files in it. Then when you want to use the files you open the program, mount the container in a virtual drive, and type the password. Takes all of ten seconds.
As for the multiple drives thing, I suspect that you would have to create a container to be stored on each drive. You can mount multiple containers simultaneously, though. You just have to mount them to different drive letters.
Edit: Of course, if you've got a whole hard drive you don't mind dedicating, you can just encrypt the entire drive instead of creating a container. That works too.
although I don't know if the package was sent to you via USPS or via another courier service and I don't know what laws apply to tampering with deliveries from other courier services

Yeah the neighbour to whose house it was delivered opened it up before sending it back to the post office

I mean, if I get a surprise package I always check to see who it is addressed to
I can understand opening a letter that's not addressed to you by mistake, but not a package
Anyway, we have no way of knowing exactly which neighbour it was
And we have it now, so all's well that ends well
