apparently Michigan is on Mr. Freeze's shit list.

    or God's.

Detroit is. The rest of Michigan is alright. Except for Flint, that place sucks too.

Dude had some nice shoes for being homeless. Maybe he was new to the homeless scene. That is why he made the rookie mistake of being frozen in a block of ice

didn't matter what that man did, he would always dive in headfirst. but he always kept a cool head about it which was quite polar to his buddies

June 16th, 2009, exactly 25 years to the day since the movie hit theaters. It's also 2 days before my 25th birthday.

Some poor old guy had a limiter put on his fuse box, and it didn't allow enough power to run his heater. He froze to death in his own house. WAY TO GO ELECTRIC COMPANY (i don't remember where this was.)

Like, did a couple of mischievous bums see his dead body, and knowing that water would collect in that shaft and eventually freeze, prop his legs up with old plastic crates?

I've been intereested in urban exploration for quite a while, the only thing that is really stopping me is the cost for gear and the fact that there probably isn't much in my town to explore.

If I was wandering through a building and saw a dude's legs sticking out of some ice though, I mean that would be a real mindjob.

Be pretty awesome if it turned out to be some Senator's son or something instead of some homeless dude. Then the city would be like "Haha, whoops, probably should have handled that better and actually removed the body, instead of just letting it sit there for days after we were notified".

my sister wanted me to take her out urban exploring in when i was home last month

i would have gone, but i had all of my earthly possessions in my jeep at the time and figured that parking in detroit around abandoned buildings with everything i own in a car without any sort of alarm system wouldn't be the best idea

I went urban exploring around an old dam one time. It was pretty rad, except I get the heebie jeebies from large industrial type things in or around water, so it didn't last very long.

It was probably more scary than finding a dead body.

I went "urban exploring" once. I posted the photos and the descriptions of it up in an old D&D thread.

My buddy was/is a security guard at this old factory complex and he was the only one on one night so I went in there with a flashlight and a digital camera and got some cool shots.

I wonder if this dude has achieved some sort of legendary status now from within the urban exploration community.

You always hear about the possibility of finding dead bodies and stuff, but it rarely ever happens. It's like a holy grail you never want to stumble into, yet secretly yearn for.

No, you're thinking of an unlocked safe filled with treasure.

We don't have quite the homeless dude problem in Flint that Detroit does. There's pretty much nobody left in this town, which is awesome. More industrial wasteland for me.

it's possible that he died in such a position that his legs were bent, then when the water came in, rigor had set and had yet to relax, he fell into the water, legs still bent but now upwards, and the water froze, catching him

    it wasn't that bad
except there were cops like everywhere
and gases coming out of the sewer in the summer, much like you saw on the ninja turtles.

oh also, stores closed at like 3 in the afternoon and had big bars over the windows.
