    Bang Bang.

Nice timing on the Command Authority there. I've never really been certain when a good time to use it is.

Well crap. Command Authority, Communications, is there anything else you think isn't very good we can effectively use this game? :p

Turn 38: Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin)

Receive Skills Step: abotkin draws 1 Leadership card.
Movement Step: Move to Hangar Deck.
Action Step: Play Leadership 1 to give Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) Executive Orders.

Executive Orders: Zarek activates the Armory twice, attacking the Centurions.
Rend plays Tactics 4 to aid the first roll.

    Attack 1: 8 + 2 > 7, Centurion downed.
    Attack 2: 2 < 7, Centurion missed.

With renewed vigor and support from Starbuck and the Admiral, Zarek leads another attack against the Centurion boarding parties. This time, the attack is a success, pushing the Centurion forces back, though not completely.

Crisis Step: Keep Tabs on Visitor

Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) must choose:
    A) Skill Check [12] Politics + Leadership + Tactics
    Pass: No effect.
Fail: Roll a die. If 4 or lower, -2 population.
    OR
    B) Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) discards 4 random Skill Cards.

After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation

If I might recommend the discard option?

It's almost a certainty that we'll have to compete with the cylons, since this would be an instant victory for them, so I think 4 cards is a bargain.

Yeah, it's a shame to lose the last of my hand, but I agree that that is the safer choice. And it's not a huge loss considering space is empty at the moment.

Discard Leadership 2, Piloting 5, and Engineering 1.

A familiar face is seen aboard Galactica, but not one that is welcomed... Starbuck carefully trails the mark to make sure that the unwelcome guest does not do further damage while left unchecked.

Make my way to the Press Room and hold a very special press release, wherein... Shock and Surprise! Our dear Dr. Baltar has been a cylon all along! The 'news' is, of course, absolutely devastating to fleet morale.

Particularly amongst the remaining female population.

    Discard Politics 1, Leadership 2, 2, Tactics 3, and Engineering 1

So, thoughts on what I should do? Barring ability maybe scout the Crisis deck? I could go Quorom it up now but there really isn't much to be gained by that as far as I recall.

Uh, assuming I can pass on that previous order, thoughts? We can live through the loss of 1 food but two will destroy us. Starbuck's hand is empty and I'm not positive about the size of Darians hand but Baltar probably has a high point value card saved up to screw with us.

I'll wait on contributing for the moment, because I think we should pass this given one fact: Super crisis.

There's 1 super crisis that could doom us when maddoc gets his turn, one that could endanger us, but ONLY if we fail this check, and 2 which would be useless to them in the timeframe they have.

And the skill check on the one that would be useful is pretty brutal. So I say lets win this one. We want 3 morale when maddoc's turn comes up, in case he has that one.

If we fail this check and are left with a 50/50 chance of being fucked on Maddoc's turn I have to ask if we really want to even see Maddoc's next turn. At this stage we can get a 25% chance of winning on Starbuck's turn, 50% if we have a card that's likely to get spent attempting to pass this check. It comes down to a die roll so I guess the real question is this:

Should we be considering Forcing a Jump?

This is really a matter of opinion and style and I'd like to hear y'all's thoughts on this.
