The original was on a comedy record. Yes, people used to make those.

There was a popular CGI video some guys did using characters from a video game, but that wasn't the "original".

    FYMFI.

I'm actually a bit disappointed that Pony has all but abandoned 4e, in favour of kit bashing World of Darkness.

I mean, I can understand that it's far easier to DM, especially after the stroke and such, but still.

I spent like a hundred bucks on these books. Just gathering dust.

Give him time. He'll get that old fantasy itch that only you can scratch.

Kinda dirty, when I put it like that.

not saying I don't enjoy his foray into stuff that's easier to do, as it's also easier for us players to keep track of. also, he can just bash together some fantasy stuff anyway, and have it use the new system.

the reality i had to face the last time i tried to run a 4e game is that i don't know if my head can handle it anymore

it's so much to keep track of, so much numbers and positioning and strategizing

before i had the stroke, we ran that campaign at christian and mark's place and there was like six players and we played on a whiteboard and i could still handle everything just fine

contrast that with the campaign i tried to run a couple months ago at your place and we were using maptool on the big TV, with less players. so i had less players and even superior tools to keep track of the action

and the combat would just frazzle me and i'd get lost and forget things and just get frustrated

i don't think it's a problem with 4e, really, i think it's a problem with me. i don't feel like my head can handle it anymore. i am hoping that improves with time and maybe some day in the future we can try a 4e campaign.

in the mean time i do have this WoD fantasy kitbash i am working on and i think it might be some of the fun of D&D but without the brain-cramp 4e gives me

Post that you want in. We just accepted a bunch of new folks but we can probably handle one more, especially since one of our party members is an NPC and another hasn't posted in a while.

We'll go from there so as not to derail this thread.

There were two other podcasts today

Man, they really hated Dollhouse. I thought it was pretty bad too, but I didn't find it that offensive. Podcast was awesome though because Jerry totally told off those slackers working for them

The second podcast makes me wish I knew people who played D&D. Just listening to it is fun
