Do you want to do nothing but cut and paste numbers into a spreadsheet, go to horrible meetings, work with clueless people and a downright spiteful management, and stay an hour late every day for no pay?

For $50k I will do that and seriously consider cupping the balls.

all you gotta do is suck 27 thousand dicks behind White Castle

Excuse me? We are upper middle class. We suck dicks in the Olive Garden bathroom, not some low-brow fast food place. Humph!

i make about 50k for a pretty easy, low-stress job that simply requires a lot of creativity, writing skill, interpersonal ability, and experience/analysis with the field.

however, i lose a quarter of every paycheck to taxes, since it's canada. totally worth it because i can go to the doctor any time i want, for any reason.

oh I understand. I just don't have a person to sap if I get home late. it's just me and my lust for money.

No you can't. Anytime you try to go to the doctor, no matter what it's for, you have to wait six months, and then probably not get what you need anyhow.

It's true because the Republican party says so.

Russ Feingold is in Johnson Creek tomorrow morning for the 2009 Jefferson County listening session. Here's what I've come up with to bring to him this time around:

    Energy Star reform.

The Energy Star program is that they do a pass/fail system to determine if you get a star or not. The problem is the requirements to get one don't change fast enough to keep up with emerging technology, which means way too many products get stars, which dilutes the meaning of the star.

My solution: Grade on a curve instead. Limit the number of stars supplied- currently I understand it sits at 12% of products getting stars. Cap it at 5% per month or quarter or whatever.

*Take the metrics used currently and create a scoring system out of them.
*Weight the metrics based on their relative importance.
*Benchmarks would be used as a minimum required to get any score on the metric. (We could use the current benchmarks for this to start off.)
*The top 5% scoring products, minus ties, get Energy Stars. (If it were plus ties, everyone would bunch up at the borderline, thus giving too many stars out, thus defeating the purpose. With minus ties, now you have to actually BEAT the other guy, which makes you drive innovation that little bit more.)

    Thoughts?
