    It does interest me how crazy the House can get though. Does it have the same recidivism rate as the Senate? I've heard that it's vastly overemphasized how often people get re-elected, and I feel like the house shifts really often.

    Two year terms mean that even if they had the same re-election rates as the Senate (which they don't, not least of which because they're all bonkers) they're coming up for election a lot more often.

    senate is only a little bit less, but they have to fight over a larger and and more mutable constituency so it's to be expected, and it's a more exclusive club in the senate :P

    incumbents have a A LOT of home court advantage though

    most importantly PACs and interest groups and corporate people are more likely to throw their money behind one

    Plus, how many Senators are former members of the House? If you had a good record in your district in the House, you've got a good chance at a Senate seat, especially with the backing you can get in a federal office.

    So in those pictures of the districts...The white areas surrounded by the green areas that seems to be downtown areas of major cities...Would it be safe to assume black people live in those areas?
