nobody ever says a word to me at the gym unless it's somebody I already know. For instance, my neighbors across the street & their kids use the same gym as me.
I saw the girl who weighed at around 110 pounds and did 140 for bench press today. She moved up to benching 155. Just a little old normal looking girl at 5'4" get rough and tough under the bench bar. She's really nice but when she's in the weight room she turns into a pit bull. She's also really cute.
my knee is still barking at me, so I once again forwent squats in my leg day. in their stead, i added straight-legged deadlifts, to really thrash my hamstrings after conventional deadlifts. I went through a planned progression of deadlifts, than basically just continually upped the weight on straight-legged deadlifts to find a working range

There's such a big difference in your back and hips from the first pictures you posted Wook.
I think I need to look into more strength based training. Right now I do 5X5 on my big lifts but I don't know how I should approach three rep or one rep sets. I don't have a spotter so I'm even sure if I should.
Oh gosh, partial failure on a one rep can be hell to get out of without injury even with a spotter. Get one. It's a fantastic feeling when you do em, though.
After a max you will fear no lesser weight.
Even if technically you'd already have a pretty good idea of what you needn't fear once you've cuddled up to your three and two. But that's no fun.
Yeah I'd love to have a training partner but I don't know anyone who is interested. Everyone I know looks at me with bewilderment in their eyes when I talk about weight lifting.

I guess it depends on if they're actually motivated because otherwise it can be a drag.
It was a fucking horrendous drag. I didn't actually realise it for a while but all he did was annoy me. It's completely killed any desire I have to lift, which is actually a good thing right now because I don't have the money to be buying a lot of food or supplements.

Planet Fitness? I keep seeing those commercials, but i have no idea where one is near me. I'm pretty happy with my gym for the most part.
Defender, are you usually alone in the weight room? If my partners not there, i'll usually just ask a random to spot me for a set. i've never had anyone refuse.

Ugh, I struggled through chest work today. Posted good numbers but it just felt really tough. For the bench I managed to crank out

So I think I'm only a few weeks off hitting 100, which I haven't done in a long time. Am really enjoying how my gym is going right now. Had our opening rugby game of the season on Saturday and felt great. Played a full 80min in the front row and even managed to nab myself a try (which was my first in 40-ish games for that particular team).

Once you cover up the taste enough so that you can't taste it, it's ok. I guess.
I got 1 partner and 3 initiates.
I agree it can be a drag some times, but teaching people stuff helps me a lot too.
But it also depends on if they are eager to learn, I wouldn't take somebody that can't listen to the gym with me.
