Man, I saw the street view of my house...
Who could have the patience for that job? you have to go EVERYWHERE, and take photos of every single house

It's actually a pretty cool contraption. I've seen them driving around. They have a little dome on the top that does like a bajillion photos from a bajllion angles.

actually, when looking at a street view of my parent's house a couple months ago, my dad came over and was all wait a minute. i wonderrrrr then aimed the camera angle down and boom! you can see the shadow of their van thing. seeing his detective background come out always makes me giggle

He'll soon discover a massive smuggling operation. The Google street photographers have really been using the van as a cover up for their drug dealing business.

I'm very happy with the progress of this thread, although it would be nice if more people would simply wander out front of their homes to snap pics instead of relying on google to do it for them.

My home via Google Street View. There are a lot of trees in the way so you can't see it all too well.
    Spoiler:

If you draw a line along the trunk of that tree right in front, that is about where the house actually stops.

If you say national park, and a six million acre one at that, I am going to punch you through the internet.

As cool as that would be, no. It's a little public park with a nice playground and jogging trail.

Quoth. Can you tell me a bedtime story. One about open space and wide streets, and towns that are in the middle of nowhere, and dusty roads that have no signposts. Of rotting corpses never being found and strange markings seen only from a thousand feet in the air. What's that like?

I have no idea, because I have never been to such a place.

I am going to use this thread to mention that my neighbours who just moved in ripped out and destroyed the oak wood paneling from their walls. They also wrecked this super sweet window, one of those ones which is like a whole bunch of small panes separated by a crisscross of wood. I don't know what you call those.
They haven't wrecked the stained glass windows. Yet.
