Man I am dropping out of UM. It's fun and all but I'm having too much trouble getting into writing posts for Orchid and her crew. That and really, it's basically impossible for me to RP such a serious and dark kind of thing next to the Parent Teacher Association that wheels tanks around the city and fights with laser guns or militant wrestlers.
Does this mean that there's no violence mission this week? That would mix some stuff up.
I'll put my rolls up tomorrow, and my IC post after INNS's.
If rewards aren't claimed by IC postings, what happens to them? I'd hate to see the AW's Nice Points evaporate completely, you know?
Can you steal unclaimed points?
Ahem. Not that I'm even considering it, but...
Unclaimed points, stats and territory will sit in limbo til the end of the game if neccesary. As I posted earlier, unclaimed points can be stolen in attacks, to prevent anyone from getting the bright idea of locking up points in limbo then cashing them all out at the end.
With INNS out, I'll be taking over BAS as an NPC group, at least until someone else steps up as a Criminal group, as otherwise the Criminal side is pretty outgunned. Probably time for me to start PM'ing people that haven't shown back up yet.
There is another roll that returned error because of the captial D, I don't know if it will show or not in roll history, but I thought I should inform you it happened.
Sorry thought it had picked up my name when I'd hit back, but I'll swear by all thats holy that it is my roll. However if Scooter wants to disqualify it, thats fine by me.
So it looks like Zombiemambo is out too. Currently puts us with about 3 active criminal groups (I don't know what Talon's been up to) vs. 7 active beneficial groups. I don't suppose anyone's up for switching sides, or pulling double duty?
The PTA could go all fascist -- they aren't terribly far from it right now, anyway -- it would be a different style of roleplaying, but I think I could more or less pull it off.
Maybe not the sexual stuff. I'm not sure how I'd go from defending the minds of youth to producing porn.
Hrmm. Any ideas? I'm happy to turn coat if we figure it out.
If someone wanted to switch sides, I'd let them redo stats to reflect their new goals, and I'll let em keep points and stats too, as a rep sort of thing.
They're still going to self-justify as a 'good' group, but their (public) rationale looks like this:
Both of the failures we've suffered have been at the hands of other 'good' organizations. It's time to thin the herd. The P.T.A. wants only the best for Arcadia, but in order to maintain order, there can be no outside interference.
The sex trade issue is resolved (or rationalized) as follows: In order to protect our youth and their fragile minds, we will take control of the smut business. With control in our hands, we can more easily prevent inappropriate material from reaching young eyes. If we (the P.T.A.) happen to make a nice profit off said business, then so much the better.
Rewards:
Ah Ship!- Huddled Masses Union, 80 Points

Riot in the Zoo - Arcadia Wrestling Revolution, 50 points
Corporate attack on The Veil Children from Diamond Dogs - 60 Points for Diamond Dogs
I'm actually having some trouble telling what IC post relates to what event; like, I have two events that Black Mask needs confirming for but the last IC post for them doesn't seem to be related to either of them. So, for here on, please use the name of the event or attack you're ICing at the top of your IC posts, thanks.

- Tensions resulting in riots earlier this week calmed in recent days as "The Lion" Dempsy spoke out against the violence from his hospital bed, urging citizens to obey the legal system of justice...
- Mayor Helms was guest speaker at the opening ceremony of the new Hope Park Police Post, a small station that would act as a base for officers patrolling Hope Park after dark...
Don't Get Your Hopes Up (Violence):
Good Mission: Hope Park needs this kind of attention. Probably best to show them some support for their first few days on the job, so they can get on their feet and help you out later.
Reward: Territory - Hope Park Police Post (Good, +1 Violence)
Evil Mission: You were kinda getting used to the old dirty Hope Park. This post still isn't fully staffed, if you could probably raze it to the ground if you put your mind to it...and it'd be sure to make the cops think twice about messing with you in the future.
Reward: +1 Violence
- Investigations show that Louie "The Frog" Opis managed his escape from Saint's Rock Tuesday with help at the Saint's Rock Docks, although investigations are continuing with who his accomplices were...
Lockdown (Smuggling):
Good Mission: No point getting guys locked up if they just get out again. Find out what ships these guys are using and shut em down.
Reward: 50 Points
Evil Mission: These guys do more work than just sneaking out jailbreakers - no steady work there, after all. This investigation needs to be squashed or one more avenue of traffic will get walled off.

Reward: 80 Points
Evil Mission: Jade might pay a bounty for files you could recover, but even better, the records they kept on themselves and other major corporations could give you a big boost in any moves you wanted to make on them in the future.
Reward: +1 Corporate
I'm not worried about it, wasn't trying ot do any major damage after all. I'm mostly just waiting for some sort of Anarchy roll that would actually, you know, up my anarchy.

Any issues with that, anyone?
Thanks for switching...if I can get TR back on the actives list I may be able to pass on using an NPC group for the time being.
EDIT: Wiki page updated to reflect eeevil.
edit: until I hear back from Scooter, I'll just roll.

Squeaked that one out. :P
I'm still trying to get TR back on the active list so that's not neccesary.
Also, that's a 14 til you do your IC post.
So: It's Amazing What You Can Get Delivered These Days.

I can't believe you'd steal the 10 points I earn this turn from my shiny new City Hall committee.
