I'm a huge cobain fan, can play anything he's written on a whim, and found it hilarious.
I'm not sure thinking a dude's wife shot him and made it look like a suicide carries enough significance to be called a conspiracy theory, regardless of how famous the dude was.

As a music major, what the hell sort of college have you attended that the music majors theorize on Kurt Cobain's death. Again, I love Nirvana and all things Cobain, but I wouldn't consider that even close to intersecting with my training as a musician.
I like this comic, though. Like Lucky Cynic said, it's hard to follow RB: Nirvana, so I'm glad they went with something a little more subdued.

I didn't get it initially either. to be honest, I'm also too lazy to look it up, so I inferred the joke from replies in the thread. Some people (myself included) just don't follow music/celebrity culture much.
and the comic in question only required that you know:
a) He killed himself
b) He did it with a shotgun

also this comic is funny and it made me chuckle, even though the last panel wasn't too much of a punch
