Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
When I last checked, I think the waste could be recycled (used in other processes), but there was some legislation or agreements that prohibited that. If any of the power people have any more to add on the subject, I'd actually be interested!
I believe you're speaking of breeder reactors, which are most definitely capable of breaking down nuclear waste (and generating energy in the process.) While I don't believe there's specific legislation against them, they've certainly fallen victim to the anti-nuclear movement.
Personally when people talk about nuclear power and the related safety, I just like to point out that, measuring safety as deaths per terawatt-hours, nuclear power is pretty damned safe. Things like Chernobyl sound scary. But go ahead and point out the Banqiao dam disaster (let alone point out how damaging hydroelectric projects are to the surrounding ecosystems in general ) and see if people are suddenly opposed to hydroelectric.
Hank is a really awesome character. It's hard to believe the show made me like him so genuinely when I disliked him so much early on in the run. What's really amazing is that his demeanour has remained almost completely the same. Most of the development we get on the character is showing more of his flaws (how he has so much trouble coping with being injured) and the greater and greater levels of contrast against Walt. Not to say he doesn't have his nice-guy moments like when Walt Jr. calls him after getting busted for trying to buy while underage.
Gosh I love this show.
By the way, anyone notice on the season opening
Spoiler:
Not sure why I spoiled this but whatever: The ammunition for the m60 he buys? It's all tracer rounds.
