Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I know it goes without saying, but I've absolutely loved every episode of Parks and Rec this season. At first, I was hesitant to even give this season a chance, because I felt like last season's finale made a great series finale and I didn't want to be disappointed with their much-hyped final year. It's not that I didn't trust the writers and show producers, I just didn't want the network to screw things up so we'd get something akin to the last season of The Office. My worries were unfounded, as this season more than proved how much the cast and crew care about their show and each other (even though nbc had them burn through the allotted number of shows twice as fast.) Saying goodbye will be rough, but it's been one hell of a ride.
Hello! Wow, my score was a bit of a surprise (being I filled out my ballot last minute and hadn't been able to watch most of the nominated films this year.)
I'm so happy that Big Hero 6 took Best Animated Feature last night. It was my favorite by far, but it seemed the hype and percentages really favored HTTYD2, so I didn't end up voting for it.
There's obviously been a lot of Birdman talk this morning. First off, I want to say that I enjoyed watching the film. However, in the end it also felt like the most formulaic "indie" "theater" film, with a couple of tricks thrown in.
The Grand Budapest Hotel is my favorite Wes Anderson film, but that may change after it sits in my head for a few years (and truth be told I'm only a really big fan of half of his movies.)
