The Tube Pain Train (opinions thread)
Turning 30 for me was disappointingly boring. I didn't even freak out like when I did when I turned 20. Being a teenager mostly sucked and yet for some reason I still got really depressed when it ended.
30 isn't so bad because you're just 30. When you hit 31 you're now "in your 30s" which is way more depressing.

Typically I only override if it makes sense logically. Going "Apples <= Oranges" does not make sense, for instance.
Though I'd expect to be able to do something like this logically "fraction x = 2"; and have it output something like 2/1 internally.
They are the same data (just in different formats). I think I'll keep the explicit cast though so it's very clear you know a conversion is happening behind the scenes.
