spoiled by slicer. oh well. so much for the suspense.
zek, I'm still liking the episodes. I enjoy new things. and I haven't seen a series ever show this many time loops. i think it's great. aside from people spoiling it every week, I'm really enjoying this.
if chen's post was outside of a spoiler, that would have been an obvious tell of what went on in 17, also. chen's tags
Thetheroo's post is an obvious tell, though. why is it so hard to use spoiler tags?
Its rating suck, but that's irrelevant. All anime ratings are terrible unless it's aired at primetime, which is pretty much just Naruto, Gundam, and their ilk. They're designed to be made at a massive financial loss. All that matters are DVD sales, which obviously remain to be seen. This will be interesting though, as KyoAni's business model is "sink a shitload of money into shows, get awesome DVD sales." They really lack the financial base to go the "sink a shitload of money in and get nothing out of it" route that studios like Sunrise or JCStaff would completely shrug off. They're not big enough to do it for multiple years before collapsing either, like Gonzo did.
Like I said earlier, I did not even read those spoilers when I made that comment. I just made a joke that I figured was probably accurate judging from what has happened thus far.
Hmm, based on what happened in episode 4 of Umineko, it looks like
(VN Spoiler) Spoiler:
next episode we get to finish the first game, and probably meet Beatrice and the meta world. The meta world scenes with Beatrice are the best thing about Umineko, so I can't wait. Although I wonder, based on the OP/ED shots, if they've designed Beatrice with too serious a look, considering how silly and over the top she tends to be.
Not counting the first time, this makes five. 100 minutes of repetition, 90 if you don't count the first reveal. That's an entire feature length film consisting of nothing but watching the same scenes over and over 5 times in a row. Scenes that you had already seen before when you walked into the theater. The first time was a troll, very funny haha. This is just completely pointless cruelty towards the viewer.
Spoiler:
That's pretty much the point, yeah!
I hope they keep this going for ten, a dozen, TWO DOZEN episodes. I think it's a shame it'll have to end!

Not exactly sure why the tags are needed for this level of conversation, but alright... Spoiler:
I've been enjoying it so far... up to the end of the most recent episode. The pacing of Endless Eight Five just made me think that it would end this week! But then it didn't! *shake fist* Of course, that irritation has died down, and now I'm back to tentative interest as always, to see if they go the 'full' eight episodes or more, or if they do the 'unexpected' and resolve Endless Eight next week. *sigh* Who knows what KyoAni and Kadokawa are thinking now...
Dang. Plot twists all up ins. It began with the usual business and all of a sudden shit got real. I love how this show manages to pull off drama and suspense through bartering.
Spoiler:
I don't get what the bet is supposed to be, why does Lawrence have to make money all of a sudden? Couldn't they just take the kid's money and have Horo reject him?

Spoiler:
I don't think the VA fits the character particularly well either, at least not from what I've heard of her in the drama discs. I'm kind of curious as to how they're going to handle the ????? too.
