The water actually looks really impressive for this sort of game. I hope the guy that did that underwater level at launch that simulated swimming with jetpacks (can't for the life of me remember it's name), and the community managed to do some interesting stuff with it. This and a melee attack would get me playing LBP again.

Can't wait for the water pack. I hope they add some water backgrounds as well. I wonder how many water skiing levels will be made in the first hour after this pack come out.

It looks like one the Sackboys has a timer counting down beside him when he is underwater. It's around 47 seconds.

It might be interesting if it counted down bubbles. Or if finding bubbles added seconds to the clock.

Yeah. I imagine there'll be either A) A 'scuba' equip (We saw a sackboy with a scuba suit, but who knows if it's a costume or otherwise) to breathe underwater or B) a way to make your water 'Drownable' or not.

At least, I hope so. Might be a little harsh if swimming underwater -always- had a timer. Really cut down on exploration.

Edit: Also, I hope there's an option to change the tint of the water. Toxic Slime swimming up ins.

What Media Molicule needs to do.

1) Add an emmiter gun. Works exactly like the paintenator but can emit anything an emmiter can.

2) Add Global Wind whose direction can be controlled by switches.

3) Allow the Water level be controlled by a Global switch.

4) Allow independent cameras for different players.

5) Introduce a turn mechanic.

6) Sell a Worms Costume Pack. (Commando Worm, Zombie Worm, and Super Sheep)

Or you could just, like, play Worms.

Any release date for the water? I really can't wait for this feature to be added, and I hope it also allows for underwater vehicles (jet skis!).

Anyway, I haven't given this game enough attention lately, but I'm in the mood again to try out more user levels. Is there a site that keeps track of the highest rated/recommended levels created by fans?

Also, I could use a few co-op buddies to help me collect the 2 player story mode items. PSN nick is SOLDIER.

I've got back in to LBP, I burned myself out at first by playing the beta to death then when I got the game I stormed through it collecting everything asap. I'm now back in to it and loving going through it at a more sedate pace, I need some help getting the 2x,3x and 4x items though.

Shall post up when I'm on this evening

(And I've just noticed the professors post above!)

The user levels have seriously come a long way since I last tried it. The levels made by Pom (The Miracle of Life) are especially amazing.

It also continues to keep me from even attempting my own level.

I've started making my "Plain and Simple" level. I'm not going for pretty or complicated, I just want to get back in to the swing of creation.

I thought a cool project for a first level would be to redo the tutorial levels. I get so sick of playing through those levels when I am showing people how to play the game, it would be cool to have an alternate set of tutorials to play.

MM just announced WATER in LBP.

http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/08/18/just-add-water/

I have a feeling Speed Racer may have a comment or two about this.
That's great they're actually going to add water, but is it going to be typical video game water or fully physics-enabled water with flow and displacement?

Not that I'm complaining, because having water is great (and was sorely missed in the original game). But unless it's physics-based, everyone's expectations might be a little high.
Judging from the trailer it's "typical video game water," but that's certainly good enough for me. I'd imagine that more involved fluids physics would probably be out of the question, so I will absolutely settle for the next best thing.

I am glad that I am nowhere near ready to start my water level in my infinite hero series now!

Speaking of which, I should probably start making the next level in that series.

I wonder how the Paintinator and the Jetpack will function in the water, or if you lose them if you touch the water.
